Questo storico Ft. Screven struttura è stata completamente ristrutturata e rinnovata.
Layla Palmer di The Lettered Cottage fame ha completamente ridecorato questa incredibile casa ed è stato premiato con il Premio per la Conservazione della Società Storica di Tybee Island !!! Originariamente costruita come una delle tre Mess Hall per il forte, questa casa ha avuto una lunga e colorata storia, incluso il tempo come pensione. Questo duplex con Screened Inn sul lato opposto con il suo ingresso privato, la Mess Hall per uomini armati presenta alti soffitti con ventilatori a soffitto, finestre extra large in ogni stanza, pavimenti in legno e portico schermato.
Cortile recintato con grandi palme e querce vive. Due isolati dalla North Beach, a 5 minuti dalla stazione della Casa Tybee Luce e il ristorante North Beach Grill. Il Parco Jaycee (campi da calcio, il percorso a piedi, parco giochi) si trova direttamente dietro la casa.

Our stay at Mess Hall was great, we only wish we had booked more days. The cottage itself was adorable and nicely decorated. We loved the screened porch, it was perfect for morning coffee or just relaxing before or after our day. All communication was met with a quick response. Any needs were promptly fulfilled. Location to nearby restaurants and shopping was convenient as well as distance to Savannah. If you're a coffee drinker, be sure to sample the Mermaid coffee,it was delicious! We would definitely return to this property!

Lovely time at Mess Hall

Our perfect getaway

Reviewer Comments: As is always the case, The Enlisted Mens Mess Hall didn't disappoint. Again. This was our 8th stay at the Mess Hall and The Mermaids made it perfect. We love the porch and rockers and always spend so much time out there solving the world's problems! The walk to the beach is enjoyable through the little "jasmine tunnel". Thank you, Mermaids for providing us with the perfect place for a perfect 5 days on Tybee. :)

Quiet and comfortable

This quirky and charming home was the perfect beach getaway for us. A short walk to the beach, lighthouse and science center was perfect for us.

House was so cute with amazing history. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. They even turned the porch lights on for us when they learned we would arrive after dark! Highly recommend Mermaid Cottages and this house. We walked everywhere and others staying in the neighborhood were all friendly and respectful. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. Would definitely stay here again.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and full of old Tybee charm. Quiet location near the lighthouse and easy stroll to the beach. Loved this well-appointed and homey spot!

Perfect Spot for a Tybee Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Enlisted Men's Mess Hall! The location was very convenient to the beach and to other things on Tybee Island as well. The cottage was cute and well appointed and the property owners were available as needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mess Hall Cottage. The kitchen was well equipped, the porch was a lovely place to spend our non-beach time and the beach was just a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Historic Cottage

As a retired history teacher I enjoyed staying in a home so rich with history. It was fun to imagine the many soldiers who were fed within its walls when Ft. Screven was an active Army post. The interior of the home has been beautifully refurbished with a gorgeous screened in porch wrapping around the outside. I love to stay on the north end of Tybee. This cottage was an easy walk to the park, the beach, and the Tybee Light. I have already reserved a time to return next year.
