Great little cabin for our family trip. My kids enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and other resort amenities. Plenty to do. Bring your own cleaning supplies if you like to clean

We had a great stay overall! The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The location was convenient, and the overall experience was very enjoyable.The only minor downside was the bed. It felt a little small for two people and wasn't the most comfortable, but it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker. We'd still happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here for the weekend. We visited Berkeley Springs, which was a nice visit and went to Capoon state park that had beautiful views. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. There were lots of games and we spent some time having quality time together playing games. The place was very clean and cozy. We would definitely come back again.

Communication was terrific, responded so quick and thorough I would have sworn it was AI lol. It was lacking in "the extra touches" I have received in other vrbo rentals (boxes of tissues in multiple rooms, local menu/ brochures, fresh baked goods or snacks, extra towels) but it was accurate to description of rooms, firepit, hottub and provided cookware. It was a 10 min drive to Dollar General or 30 min to bigger town of Martinsburg for Walmart, variety of restaurants. Also about 30 min from Sleepy Creek nature preserve and lake for fishing or hiking and Cacapon State Park for scenic overlooks which is also a location for one of the Almost Heaven Swings. Another swing nearby is at Poor Farm Park and about an hour away in Shepherstown. Loved the woodsy setting and access to the community sports center which included gym, sauna, indoor/outdoor pools based on season, plus a library of books you can check out if the mood strikes you to read on the deck or by a cozy fire. Overall basically good choice for the area and it met my needs.

The house was perfect for me and my husband! The queen bed was comfy, sheets were soft, pillows were plump, and the spare room was handy to store our bags/clothes on the bunk bed. The shower had strong water pressure and was hot and I loved it! There were enough towels to get us thru our long weekend there. The den furniture was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was appropriately stocked with necessities. The hot tub was clean and we loved sitting in it every morning and night! We didn’t use the grill, so I can’t speak on that. The firepit chairs were comfy. The AC was in the open kitchen/dining/den area and there were box fans in the 2 bedrooms. All of that kept me cool on the humid nights. The house is 30 mins away from Berk Springs & Cacapon State park. It’s not a bad drive to get there and back, and on the way, just 5 minutes from the house, is a little farm stand run by a local nurse. Cari makes the best apple butter and bbq sauces! Tony, owner of the house, was easy to work with and just a text away if we needed anything. I’d highly recommend this house for a couple or small family. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood and the comfort of a nice home away from home!

Short stay

Just stayed overnight. Nicely decorated with not too much stuff I needed to be worried about the kids breaking. I was a little miffed that there's a decent cleaning fee but I had to take the garbage with me. ? Also learned that if I'm expecting to use a feature of a property I should check first to see if it's available - the lighter was dead anywhere were no matches so I had to get mmy own. It was a great small space for me and my spouse, definitely recommend with the amenities that come with the property. Host was very responsive to any questions we had and left clear instructions on how everything worked, definitely would come again!
