First off, to clear up the biggest concern: there are absolutely zero cameras on the property. Not in the house, not outside, not hidden in the avocado tree. The owner happened to be on-site after your scheduled 11am checkout—watering fruit trees, not spying—when it became clear the house was still very much occupied. Now, about the house itself: yes, Berny’s has its quirks. The light switches all work—we just apparently have one for every mood and moon phase. The master bath hot and cold are reversed, which we agree feels like a cruel joke at 7 a.m. however the guests know this upon arrival. And the dishwasher? We know you didn't use it since all of your dishes were everywhere. As for the hot tub, you’re right—the 6–10pm use window wasn’t listed, which was our oversight. That info is now front and center in the listing. We'd love to keep it running all day, but unfortunately, the utility bill said “absolutely not.” Quick note on the front door: it works just fine, you can open it anytime during your stay but for security and simplicity, we only provide access through the keypad on the back door.
