Perfect for our 1 night stop over. Kitchen well equipped and beds very comfy. Nice are to walk our dog. We even caught a fish on the dock. Very pleasant hosts. They left us fresh eggs from their chickens.

The host was wonderful and beautifully accommodating, the home was cozy and warm. The scenery was breathtaking with adorable ducks and not to mention the fresh eggs. My partner and I absolutely adored it.

Bed & Breakfast? VRBO? Air B&B? Whatever you call it, Mr. Haney’s Place is FANTASTIC. We needed a home base while we played local golf courses and visited with friends and family. Starting each day with fresh eggs was a bonus. The home fit our needs perfectly. Much better than a stuffy hotel. Pulling into the driveway each day was a pleasure, seeing chickens, ducks and waking to Elvis (the rooster) was pure joy, for this city couple. Our hostess was friendly and attentive to all our needs. We would highly recommend Mr. Haney’s Place.

This is our second stay at Mr Haney’s Place and we loved it just as much this time as before. The kitchen is more than fully stocked. Everything we need is at our fingertips, it’s quiet and peaceful and close to town. Kelly is an amazing host and goes above and beyond. This is always our place to stay when we’re visiting friends and family in this area.

Mount Vernon Hideaway

Lovely stay at Mr. Haney's Place just outside of Mt. Vernon, IL. So much better than a hotel. This 13 acre property waa comfortable and relaxing. Kelly and Matt our hosts were so gracious. We got a great night's sleep in a comfortable bed and enjoyed all the amenities. Thank you Kelly and Matt.

This cozy little cottage will be our place to stay from now on whenever we go back home to visit our kids and grandkids. Very clean and well stocked. The hosts are amazing lovely people who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. Kelly left farm fresh eggs and jellies and jams. She knew we were gathering to celebrate Christmas with our family there, so she decorated and put up a tree for us. We loved our hosts and our stay there!

Clean and comfortable. It was a quick stopover for me, but there was eggs in the fridge for breakfast, chickens in the yard, and a rooster to wake me up in the morning. I would have loved to stay longer!

This property is not far out of Mt. Vernon IL, but has a country setting. There is a pond is you want to fish. Nice, covered dock. Chickens, ducks, cats are around the area. Plenty of area for kids to play, explore. The house itself was clean and well stocked. Country charm invites you in. This is a pet friendly house, although we did not have our pet with us. Kelly is a lovely lady who is easy to contact and very responsive with any questions or concerns. We would stay there again when/if we are in the area.
