We have the best time at this beautiful cabin! As someone who has stayed at many many rentals - this was by far the cleanest, most well taken care of. It had everything we could have needed, so many little detailed things you would have never thought of.. they had! The views were spectacular. The beds super comfy! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The cabin was very clean and so cute. The view from the porch was beautiful, we could have just sat there all day. Could tell this was a much loved cabin, Everything was very nicely done. We wanted a drip coffee pot and the owners were very nice to have it there for us. Thank you

Such a beautiful cabin, the pictures cannot do it justice. Stay here if you’re visiting Lexington and want a charming base a bit out of town with a lovely view of the mountains. Or stay here if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat. The cabin is so well designed and lovingly maintained.

I've stayed in lots of B&B / woodsy cabins etc, and this place is absolutely the cleanest, most quaint, and well outfitted place I've ever seen. Really, a tribute to the owner - well done!

Lovely cabin and tranquil view. Thanks for welcome wine. Suggestions. WD40 for squeaky upstairs bathroom door. Ants in upstairs bathroom. 16 of the 20 coffee pods were decaf. Please provide more caffeinated options. We followed instructions for fireplace but still smoked extensively. Apparently damper didn’t open all the way. Nevertheless, it was a lovely quaint cabin nestled in the woods with deer in the yard and full moon. Enjoyed! Coffee and fire would have made it perfect t!

Hi Donald. We appreciate your suggestions. We try very hard to provide a squeaky, clean and special place for our guests. Some of the things that you suggested are things that we have never been told by other guests, and were unaware of… Ants, fireplace, squeaky door. We do have a regular pest control service but this time of year is of course difficult to manage when you are in the woods. We will definitely address these things. The cleaning team has been told about the coffee so I apologize. I know that our Cabin manager offered to bring you coffee and a new pot early on a Saturday morning, but you declined. I also left you two messages on VRBO that you did not respond to, offering to do the same.

The host was very welcoming and had the place clean and beautiful upon our arrival. The setting of the house on the hill with the stunning views of the mountains was awesome. The place was not too far from area attractions. I would definitely recommend and would like to return to this little piece of heaven.

5/5 stars for the entire experience!! We chose this little slice of heaven as our home base while watching a three game baseball series at VMI. We (& our furry pups) enjoyed this property more than we can put into words. It’s clean, beautiful, and easy. We loved the fire pit outside and enjoyed it serves times during our stay. We were sad to leave!

Peaceful environment, super accommodating hosts!

Highly recommend. Out in nature, very comfortable cabin. We had a special request, hosts were so hospitable. Wonderful views, clean cabin, well stocked. Will go again!

Such a wonderful cabin and property! We can't say enough nice things about it. The pictures are accurate, but it's even nicer in person. If you are looking beautiful views and tranquility, this is the place.

This sweet cabin has it ALL! This is one of the best places we have ever stayed and the hosts are extremely kind and generous and they make sure you have everything you need and more! Beautiful property. Perfect for 4 folks - we had the married couple and two teenagers. Only 20 minutes to VMI and a peaceful drive through the back roads. Quaint and quiet spot on a huge piece of property with awesome views. Everything there we needed. We had one issue with the heat - unusually cold this winter so the heater on the main level couldn't keep up. Owners acknowledged and are going to see what they can do.

Because the cabin was built to be period correct, the doors are a bit drafty. We are exploring options to make them less drafty for more comfort in modern day. We appreciate your honest feedback. Cozy cabin, thoughtful owners

The cabin layout worked well for our family, with the master suite upstairs and the children in their own beds downstairs. The kitchen was well appointed, so we were able to eat in for a couple meals. The owner was very kind and responsive. And the view from the porch helped set the tone for a relaxing weekend.

This cabin was beautifully constructed with wood from a historic tobacco barn, which gave it a historic feel despite being fairly recently built. The views off the front porch were GORGEOUS- overlooks a cow pasture and then a small mountain range. It was so relaxing to sit on the rocking chairs on the porch and take in the pastoral scenery. The cabin was thoughtfully appointed and well stocked in the kitchen. Firewood was provided and we definitely made use of the fireplace to sit around and read, play games. Location is very convenient to downtown Lexington and to local hikes. We LOVED our stay and hope to come back!

Picture Perfect Log Cabin

Shauna was amazing! She couldn't have been more helpful to us. She has thought of every detail to make this cabin as guest friendly and considerate of her visitors' needs. It's an adorable cabin, well decorated and appointed and has lovely views. I have never stayed at a more pet friendly place. Lexington is close for restaurants and shopping. There are also many historic and outdoor sites to visit in the area. We would love to return in the future!

Perfect weekend getaway

The cabin was perfect for a family of 4 with kids ages 9 & 12. It is far enough into the countryside you feel ‘away’ but close enough to restaurants and stores for forgotten items. The kitchen is very tight (not suggesting it needs to be bigger, it was perfect for the cabin), be sure to prep as much as you can beforehand if you plan on making meals. We are already planning another trip in warmer weather to do different activities. Would recommend this cabin without hesitation.

Gorgeous cabin with amazing views in the Valley

I just cannot say enough about the wonderful space they have created here at the cabin - every detail of the decor was considered (even for our pup), the setting is magical with the ever changing views of clouds moving across the mountains. It was a lovely escape - incredibly clea, exactly as shown (better), and the host was wonderfully responsive. If in the valley I highly encourage you to stay ... you will be glad you did.

We're definitely coming back!

I can't say enough good things about this property. The views, the cabin, the property, and the hosts were amazing! The cabin was perfect for us, my wife and I in the upstairs bedroom and the kids in the basement bedroom. There was even a fenced in area out front for the dogs. The attention to detail by the owners was very obvious. We were in town for an event at VMI, but kept finding ourselves wanting to spend more time at the cabin. We'll definitely be back!

The cutest place I've ever stayed!

I brought my daughter to the area for a horse show at Virgina Horse Show (about a 10 min drive). This cabin feels brand new, but has incredible charm. As I understand, its a new build, but using very old logs.It has all the necessary comforts of a brand new home with incredible charm. I felt very safe. The only neighbors are cows! I only wish we had more time to visit.The owner was very responsive to a small issue and communicated constantly. Wonderful place!

Perfect cabin for a fall getaway!

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful cabin for 3 nights at the end of October to enjoy a fall getaway. The cabin is very clean and has a perfect view of the mountains from the front porch. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers covered up with one of the many cozy throw blankets the hosts provide just watching the leaves fall and star gazing at night. The cows in the field across the street are really fun to watch, as well. The host, Shauna, is super friendly and very communicative and made sure we knew what to expect each step of the way. We highly recommend this cabin and would most definitely plan to stay here again if we're in the area!
