This is my 3rd time staying at Linda’s place because it’s the best river front property in Staples/central Texas! This part of the river is deep and perfect for swimming, paddle boarding or just swimming w a floatie. The property feels nice and private. The house is charming with lots of windows overlooking the property. The screened in porch feels super cozy. And Linda is always super nice and accommodating. Thanks so much, Linda!

I've lost track of how many times my wife and I have stayed at this wonderful property. As usual the cabin was cool, clean and comfortable. The property was lush, green and well manicured. Linda and Roy were very pleasant and accommodating, as usual. Thanks for sharing this great river oasis!

What an amazing weekend getaway! Everything was just as described and it was soooooo peaceful. My husband was able to fish in the beautiful San Marcos river while I sat near with my kindle and RELAXED! I especially enjoyed watching the fireflies as night came. Linda, our hostess, was but a text away. Definitely a place that we would love to return to.

Great Place Great Location

Beautiful waterfront property secluded away from any of the hustle and bustle. Comfortable bed and cute cabin. The owners were very helpful and friendly! Overall just a great stay we’ll be back to do more fishing

Thank you. I was able to get the tree out of the river. I had the bank cleared more for fishing. It ready for you’ll to come back. It’s a great secluded spot on the San Marcos river.

Weekend Get Away

The cabin is quiet, secluded and a great place to unwind. Kayak river access was easy and the water was plenty deep and calm. We had a fantastic time and will definitely book it again.

We spent two days relaxing on this beautiful property. Linda was a great host. No complaints. We look forward to doing it again soon. The property is heavenly.

Serene nature and simple comforts.

This is a great couples get away to remove yourselves from the rest of the world. The beautiful river flowing by, the biggest Cottonwood tree I've ever seen and a great screened-in porch for hanging out all await you.

Beautiful…

This cabin was just perfect. The property is absolutely beautiful, communication was so easy. My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer….would love to come back!!

Peaceful and relaxing

Property was beautiful and river was so relaxing. My grandchildren visited us and loved it. Our dogs we're so entertained by the wildlife. My husband and I enjoyed being together in the country.

Just what we were looking for!

This was the perfect cabin for our small family of 3 to enjoy the river over a long weekend. A ton of shaded, open land right on the river to swim, float, fish, and relax. Our suburban city dogs welcomed the opportunity to race and run and our 2 yr old had the best time exploring nature! Highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a more secluded getaway right on the river.

Weekend getaway

We stayed for a long weekend on our anniversary. We brought kayaks, SUP’s and did some fishing. Place was very beautiful and peaceful, this part of river rarely had anyone on it. We enjoyed the peace and quite and would highly recommend this for a relaxing getaway

Peaceful spot on the river!

The cabin was spacious and well appointed. The screened porch and deck were relaxing with ample seating. The trees and river front were peaceful and private. We will return!

Quaint getaway

This is an adorable cabin on a sprawling riverside site. The kitchen is fully equipped and convenient. We enjoyed the fire circle and screened porch. It was very private, and the host was very accommodating. Perfect for a romantic getaway with a dog!

Quiet, Secluded, & Peaceful / Great owners

My wife and I were looking for a quiet weekend getaway and found exactly that. The property is very spacious, well kept, and a short walk down to a very nice part of the San Marcos river. Linda is one of the kindest property owners I've come across. We will be back again soon and often!

Fun way to get out of the city

This place is great! Small cabin on a big piece of land. Ton of big trees for shade and easy river access that is plenty deep to swim/float in. No neighbors that close to the property, but it’s an easy drive to San Marcos if you need something.
