This was a great place to stay for our weekend visit to State College. The apartment was extremely clean and stocked with little luxuries and great snacks (and coffee!) that made our stay so comfortable. It was also very quiet and private with ample parking We will definitely look to stay here again on future visits.

Wonderful little gem in Center Hall! Very accommodating and the owners go above and beyond with the little things! Snacks, drinks, milk from Meyer Dairy, full coffee bar too! Beautifully decorated and cozy!

Brenda's home was absolutely stunning! She thought of absolutely everything! The thoughtfulness Brenda puts into having her home ready for guests is top notch! My children were so excited to see the treats left for us! We felt right at home! We are looking so forward to our next stay! The property was immaculate and possibly the best provided for VRBO that we have ever stayed in. Brenda was extremely welcoming prior to our visit, and the welcome fruit and other goodies were an unexpected treat. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful, clean apartment. Host was wonderful and responsive. They had snacks ready on check in and a few drinks in the fridge. Plenty of choices of pillows and blankets. I really appreciated all the outlets in every room and sound machines to help with any road noise.

My adult children and I stayed here over Christmas while visiting family in the area. This residence is everything one could hope for in a vacation rental: newly renovated, very clean, comfy beds, super-responsive host and all kinds of treats and amenities I did not expect. I can’t wait to stay there again.

Our stay was perfect. The appartement was beautiful and we felt really at home the moment we entered the appartement. Also the contact with the caretaker/owner was perfect and quick. We highly recommend this appartement.

Fabulous Apartment!

Best place to stay outside of PSU State College! Immaculate apartment with lots of extra bedding, towels and many thoughtful touches throughout-including snacks, drinks and toiletries. Easy 20 minute drive to campus. Hope to stay here again for our next visit.

We couldn't be more impressed with our stay. The whole property was roomy and capable to accommodate all our needs. We only had one issue, which cannot be put on the hosts. The washer appeared to have an issue that I cannot blame the hosts for one but. We would love to come back and stay again in the future if it's available!

Amazing attention to details

We stayed for our daughter's graduation from Penn State University. The location to State College is very convenient and super direct. I am a long time Realtor and work with a lot of VRBO investors over the past 5 years. Moving forward, I am going to reference this property as the model way to be a very successful VRBO owner! The attention to detail was AMAZING!

Could not have been better

The accommodations were lovely, quality everything, spacious rooms, so many helpful things provided( like snacks, cuddly blankets, great selection of kitchen utensils and dishes) plus fresh flowers. I just can’t say enough good thingsCommunication with brenda ahead of time and during our stay was always prompt snd helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable.My husband had an injury just before we traveled so the stairs were a bit limiting for him. But he is still raving about what a great place it was to stay

We purchased this historic building over 12 years ago. Our family is super excited to open up this gem to you. Centre Hall, PA is a quaint, historic town located in the heart of the state. It is adorned with tree-lined streets and offers many small local businesses within its limits as well as its surrounding family friendly communities. Centre Hall residents enjoy taking advantage of the abundance of outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and camping that are available throughout the area. There's also plenty to do in town with restaurants and cafes to hang out at as well as festivals and farmers markets to attend that take place throughout the year. Centre Hall offers an ideal combination of peaceful countryside living alongside all the amenities you would expect from a small town. It is just 80 miles northwest of Harrisburg and 130 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Centre Hall hosts the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair. The Grange Fair attracts tens of thousands of people during its run, and takes place during the last weeks in August annually. It is one of the few remaining tenting fairs in the United States, with nearly a thousand "army-style" tents laid in rows throughout its grounds. It is possible to walk to the Fair from our location because of the closeness to our accommodations.

Centre Hall is close to Beaver Stadium, Penns Cave and its wildlife park, the Arboretum at Penn State, Bald Eagle State Park, Black Moshannon State Park, Poe Valley State Park, Woodward Cave, the Tussey Mountain ski area, the Pennsylvania Military Museum, and victorian Bellefonte just to name a few interests.

One of Centre Hall’s greatest assets in its surrounding areas as well is its abundant wildlife in a setting of great natural beauty. Fishermen’s Paradise and the Scotia Game Lands are just some of these public parks and facilities available to Centre Countians. The Neff “Round Barn,” one of its most iconic buildings, is located at 2519 Earlystown Road. It’s a beautiful historic barn worth sightseeing.

It’s the simplicity, the character, and the people! Come and visit!

One of the main reasons this property will always be of great value is because of its historical appeal. It has a unique story to tell, and offers an interesting history that adds to its charm. It offers a sense of nostalgia and connection to the past. It has stood the test of time.

In 1912 the building was built for the town’s first published newspaper, The Centre Reporter. Thereafter, in 1923 a vaulted addition was built onto the historic location and the town operated its original First National Bank of Centre Hall therein. In 2012 the First National Bank moved from this original location. Thereafter, our family acquired the property and renovated to further increase the allure of the location.

Our family is passionate about preserving the the town’s rich history!
