The host was so accommodating and super helpful. We would absolutely stay here again. Everything is so close to the house and there is quiet a bit to do. The house was super clean and had everything you could need. Amazing little getaway for our family.

It was so nice to host a family that treated our home as if it was their home, for going above and beyond to ensure everything was in order during their stay, and for caring enough to read and appreciate our messages and directives.
We were so grateful that our space was left in pristine condition and that all instructions were followed in detail, for example, entering and exiting. garbage collection, laundry, and tidiness.
Our cleaning staff said that, “It was as if no one stayed at the house, let alone a family with children!” Congratulations on raising such well-behaved children!
Thankful for the excellent communication, this courteous group stayed connected before, during, and after their stay with great questions, positive comments, and priceless feedback.
We were so happy to hear that our property was loved and enjoyed, especially its close proximity to everything fun to do in the city, and that it, “felt like home.” ‘Felt like home’ is exactly what we wanted this amazing family to experience!

Excellent Family Holiday
Spending the holidays away from home can be hard but not at the Yinzers Getaway. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean, nice kitchen, and beautiful dining room for Christmas dinner. Perfect for families. Scott was a wonderful host, very responsive and full of useful information. Highly recommended

Quick trip to see family.
I'm so glad we found this home. Everyone had their own room. Our dog was very happy with his accomodations. This home is near everything including a nice walk up Butler Street for ice cream. We visited the Children's Museums, Zoo, and Science Center all within 20 minutes. Also being Steelers fans we hit the Strip. It was wonderful to see family. We will be back and hope to stay at this home again.

Brenda, daughters, precious children, and fur child were the types of guests that we did NOT want to see leave our home.
Their communication was always kind and pleasant, before, during, and after their stay.
They were absolutely wonderful guests to host, and my wife and I knew that our home was in good hands with this considerate family.
ALL directions for check-in and checkout were followed, they respected ALL of our house rules, including laundry, garbage disposal, and tidiness, and they were able to come and go with ease.
We especially enjoyed hosting Brenda and family because they had a great time, enjoyed the area, and their incredibly well-behaved children and fur child added so much positive energy to our space!
Even with a pet and children present during their stay, everything was left spotless and hosting their furry friend and children was a delight. Thank you for your perfect manners throughout the stay!
Our experience with this family was AMAZING and we HIGHLY recommend them to other hosts with a TEN-STAR recommendation and review.

Yinzers Getaway - Wonderful place and people
This, without any doubt, was the best place we've ever stsyed. Communication could not have been any better. The home clean, the amenities top rate and the beds as comfortable as home. The owner made our stay better than we ever could have asked for, especially considering the reason for our visit. As a Pittsburgh native, Ive been missing the friendliness and hospitality of home. I cannot say enough good things about hosting you, Jean, your daughters, and your grandson.
You are a wonderful family, with an incredibly well-behaved child, and you all were respectful of our home, kept everything tidy, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order during your stay.
Our cleaning staff reported that, “This great family left the place just as they found it!”
Your communication was excellent and we thank you for being very friendly, asking questions, and being kind & appreciative of the amenities that we provided.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. Scott's communication is on point and thorough. The house is exactly as advertised! Super close to all things Pittsburgh. The attention to detail by Scott and his wife were so warming! Snacks upon arrival, drinks in the fridge and plenty of coffee! The rooms were plentiful , comforatable and super clean with quality linens. Plenty of space to hang out after the game. TV's in every room. I cant say enough about comforatable this house is. Again the communication with Scott was clear and concise. We knew exactly what to do and what the expectations were for checkout. Cant wait to stay at the Yinzers on our trip next year!! Thanks Scott!!!!

We HIGHLY recommend Sean and Valued Guests to any host with a 10-star rating and review as our experience with them was truly fantastic!
Sean’s communication was always kind and courteous before, during, and after their stay.
They were great guests to host, and my wife and I knew that our property was in good hands with this polite and considerate group who treated our home like it was their own home.
ALL directions for check-in and checkout were followed, they respected ALL of our house rules, including laundry, garbage disposal, and tidiness, and they were able to come and go with ease.
They provided feedback about their positive experience in our home, and we sincerely appreciated hearing that they had an exceptional stay, that they valued our communication, that our home was accurately advertised, clean, roomy, comfortable, and super close to all events, and that they were grateful for amenities provided!

Girlfriend get together
The three-story house was very cozy and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, the living room was comfortable for us to sit around and talk, and the beds were very comfortable. We did not have any pets so we could not take advantage of the pet facilities in the basement. But for anyone with a cat, it would be ideal down there.

Nice first time stay in Pittsburgh!
From the time of booking to departure Scott's communication was quick and courteous. All the instructions for the stay were thorough. Scott checked to make sure we got in OK and checked on us throughout our stay.The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. All the added extras like toiletries in the bathrooms, coffee/tea, bottled waters, family board/card games were a nice touch. We were welcomed with a nice basket of local libations, as well as a present for our son and dog. The Pets-burgh area was nice and stocked with everything needed for our dogs stay. The location was perfect for a quick trip into the city for a concert and tons of local eateries and shops on Butler. We had a wonderful stay and would've enjoyed exploring more if we had time. I would DEFINITELY recommend Scott's place if visiting the area and would stay again if we ever return to the area.

My wife and I were so happy to hear that your FIRST TIME in ‘Da ‘Burg was so enjoyable and that our location was perfect for your outings.
We really appreciated your friendly and genuine communication, your sharing of positive feedback with us about our PETtsburgh designated dog & cat areas, and that you were grateful of the many amenities that we provided.
You must have a super well-behaved son & pet because it was as though no dog, or guests for that matter, visited as the cleaning staff reported that, "Our home was spotlessly clean!"

Delightful stay in Pittsburgh, perfect for small children
Our biennial family reunion was held nearby. 7 stayed in this immaculate house: two couples, our daughter and her 5-year-old and 3-year-old. From the moment I opened the door, I fell in love with the place. Historic integrity and modern updates made our stay memorable. Every item one needs for infant and small toddlers are available, including a stroller, safety gates for the stairs and more. When listing says it sleeps 12 that's because that includes toddler beds. One will find: 2 double beds, three twin beds (two in one room and the roll-away), 1 queen sleeper-sofa. Plus the two portable toddler beds and a pack and play. The lower floor is truly a "Pettsburgh" area with every amenity a dog or cat could use in a lifetime! All done in such a cute way. The laundry facilities and access to the patio is there.Working with Scott and Lauralee is a pure joy. It is obvious their number one priority is making their guest's stay as pleasant as possible. A goal that was far exceeded on our stay.

Pirates vs brewers
The house was beautiful and very clean. There was plenty of sitting room for all 6 of us. The kitchen was small, only one person at a time could go in there but we managed. Had plenty of dishes. One thing would have been nice to have was the cover for the pots. There was only one cover. I would have to say and the owner did apologize that the listing said a bathroom on the first floor. I did not count the basement as the first floor so you had to walk up 17 steep stairs to use the bathroom. If I had any complaints it was the bathroom and stairs. I’m old and can’t manage stairs. If there had been a bathroom on the main floor, I would not have had to climb the stairs. I did hurt my leg, not at the property and the hosts did provide a potty chair for me to use. The only problem was no way to shower. We checked out a day early because of the no showering for me. The host did offer reimbursement due to my injury, I did not want the entire stay reimbursed. I did ask for my last day to be refunded but have not heard back from them. Communication was good prior to our visit and during our stay but as soon as we left, communication went dry. We cleaned the house and the pet place where Zina stayed. The hosts even gave our grandkids a gift and they loved it. A very nice gesture. Overall a very nice place.

We want to be the very best hosts so we appreciate your honest feedback.
We do have pot covers. I will alert our cleaning staff to locate the pot covers immediately.
As a result of your inconvenience, I immediately added, at the very beginning of our description (and left it in as written throughout the description as originally done), that our property has 4 levels, 2 bathrooms, and which floor they are located, and stressed that we do have steps.
Thank you for sharing that you did not hurt your leg at our property and that we did bring you a potty chair.
We understand why you checked out a day early due to not being able to walk up or down the steps to shower due to your injury, and we would gladly reimburse you.
We never received your message for your last day to be refunded. Please privately message me your mailing address as I will be mailing you a check for your inconvenience.
You mentioned that communication was good but "went dry" as soon as we left; we have a text from you that we responded to when you arrived home safely...perhaps there was a technical glitch and we did not receive one another's messages?

We’ve been to Pittsburgh several times and we’ve stayed at rentals in other cities and this was the best accommodations we’ve had by far! The house is amazing! We (4 adults) were all like little kids going room by room to see what was next. Parked directly in front of the house. Directions from Scott (owner) were very clear. House was even ready 3 hours early. Extremely clean and fresh. It’s an old home. But never had that “old house” smell. Stocked with EVERYTHING you could need. And then some. Beautiful welcome basket and goodies. All new appliances, well stock with nice quality amenities (not dollar store items that break after 1 use). Big windows for natural light. Very comfortable beds. Tons of towels, extra pillows and blankets. This was perfect location to the stadiums, inclines, boat rides and restaurants. We did all those things. We will certainly stay here again when we come back to the area.

The house was nice. Everything we needed was there. However, there was too many signs. All over the house with the directions, telling you what to do, what not to do, how to do it, when and when not to do it. There were signs in every room including the bathrooms.There were at least 20 or 30 signs all over. It was overwhelming! Othere then that there was no yard for the children to play outside.

Several neighbors walked over to my property to tell me that your group was yelling out loud and screaming profanity into the neighborhood street. I was devastated to hear this because we want peace in our community and good reports about my short-term rental property.
In addition, it would have been kind of you to alert me to the fact that you were leaving 15 stuffed garbage bags that my cleaning crew had to carry out of our patio after your short stay, and that some type of a red liquid was spilled onto our kitchen appliances.
Never have I ever had any guests treat me or my home in this disrespectful manner, nor have I had bad reports from my neighbors or the cleaning staff until the stay of your group.
I was hoping that we had a better rapport than this.
Having guide signs in my home (that were requested by other guests, by the way) would be a legitimate complaint if the number that you stated was correct, of which 20-30 is not correct. For example, we have Checkout instructions in the bedrooms per our previous guest requests, and the only complaint about signs such as these have been from you.
In reference to "no yard to play," we state very specifically in our listing description that we have a private patio only and never stated that we had a yard.
We are glad to hear that you thought our home was nice and that you had everything that you needed.
Again, I wish that this experience had not been a negative one,
