The host was very responsive in addressing any questions. The place features lots of sleeping areas. Being able to have two showers and three bathrooms was very key to our group staying here. The check-in and check-out process is very simple. We would easily stay in this location again if the need is there in the future.

Check in process w VRBO is more aggressive. Drivers license and pictures, upload documents.Place was as advertised. Nor’Easter the whole weekend made everything harder. Harder to get to Fenway and all the other areas around Boston. In fairness, probably not easy no matter what.

This was a great spot for our group. The air conditioning doesn’t really work upstairs, but there were box fans in the upstairs rooms that helped. We enjoyed our stay here and have no complaints.

Dealing with the property management company was great. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. The air conditioning situation wasn’t ideal as they had disconnected the upstairs units and we had to reinstall the hoses venting the hot air outside. The upstairs A/C units also had to be emptied of water multiple times per day. Lower floor units are window units which work MUCH better, zero issues there. Be aware that you’re in an upstairs unit with old (but very nice) wood floors, so the unit below you can hear if you have kids running around. Overall, great location and very nice property. Very quiet at night and easy to get some rest while you’re exploring the city.

We had a great stay- cozy apartment that fit all of us. There were 11 of us including six high school runners in for New Balance Indoor. There was a bonus rollout mattress not in the listing that let us spread out a bit more too. Kitchen was clean and well stocked but a bread knife would be helpful!

The place was great. We stayed there so our daughter and her rowing team could race in the Head of the Charles last weekend. The house held everyone perfectly and was nicely stocked. Ubers were easy to get and it was only a short 15 min drive to the race in cambridge.

We had a great time at the location. It was very close to the downtown area, I loved the security measures put in place and the home was beautiful! The team was very helpful when needed.

Great spot! Updated home with lots of living space. Not much dining/entertainment within walking distance, but free in street parking was definitely a perk.

Overall, the apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the property description was accurate. Communication with the host was great. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, and silverware. Salt, pepper, and oil were provided. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels. Shampoo, body wash, and hand soap was provided. The only thing we had to go buy was kleenex. Neighborhood was quiet. Just make sure you can handle two flights of stairs with your luggage.

Great Family Vacation

Our family trip started in Maine and ended in Boston. This place fit our family of 6 needs perfectly. Quiet neighborhood close to public transportation made it easy to access the city and Fenway Park. We had a small hiccup with the front door entry code, but the host was very responsive and super helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay in Boston

This cute condo in Boston perfectly suited our family’s stay for parents’ weekend. Neighborhood felt safe, beds were comfortable, house was clean, host was kind, communicative, and accommodating in every way. There were two narrow stairways leading to the home and another stairway inside, but they added to the charm and helped us burn some calories from all the eating we did while in Boston. We would happily stay here again!

The listing photos very appropriately depict the details of the property. Was very clean. Close to the T subway so made it easy to get around Boston if you’re not looking to rent a car. Only grievance was that the AC seemed to not work. Our group set it to 68 and the place only managed to get down to 73 with windows open and standing fans provided in the unit. The weather probably helped with this though because we visited when temperature outside was 50-60. The hosting party, who was off site, contacted pretty quickly regarding the issue, and stated someone at the property would get in touch with me to physically assess/fix the issue. Nobody ever tried to contact me to get into the property and assist.

The unit had two levels basically consisting of the third and fourth floors of a row home. On the first level, there was a living area with a television and couches. There was a kitchen area as well, which was well stocked. There was also a single bedroom. Three additional bedrooms were on the upper level. There were all of adequate size and comfortable.Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi would drop off every three minutes and disconnect all devices, including the television. It was very difficult to watch the television as it had to be reset every few minutes.More problematic what’s the fact that the central air-conditioning unit was not working. I contacted the host and they informed me that they were waiting on a part and dropped off a fan.I called VRBOcare for additional help and they sent a team to install window units in two of the three upper level bedrooms. They also refunded a portion of our rental charge.My overall rating of this rental is poor because the host was aware that the air-conditioning was not functioning and did not contact me prior to our stay nor did they offer the solution that VRBOcare provided.In summary, I fault the host for failure to deliver the unit without AC or adequately sole the issue.I highly endorse the VRBOcare program which handles these types of situations.

Family Trip

This is a beautiful property and a very short uber ride to all popular Boston destinations. The building felt very safe and homey. Our only complaint would be that the washer and dryer were not very efficient (little to no draining on the spin cycle and minimal to no heat when dryer is on high). Additionally, when using the microwave for more than 1 minute, the fuse kept popping. Neither of these would prevent us from staying here again, but should probably be addressed for future guests. Thank you!

Nice spot but needs better upkeep

We enjoyed our time in Boston, and close to everything we needed. The space itself was comfortable and served our trip well.However, there were a few issues that took away from the experience. A full load of wet towels was left in the washer, and the dryer’s lint trap hadn’t been cleaned, which is a safety concern. I dried and folded one load, and left dried towels in dryer. The garbage disposal and dishwasher were also not working, which made kitchen use more difficult.With a little more attention to maintenance and cleaning, this could be a much better stay.

Was not clear to me in the listing that this was the third floor of a walk up with narrow and steep stairs. Getting large luggage up the stairs was a challenge. Plus another level of stairs inside for the majority of the bedrooms. There is not really anywhere to dine/eat at a table but a narrow ledge with stools.Otherwise it was a nice place, clean and with all the basics. Neighborhood is very bedroom- community- at least a 10 min walk to the T, and no markets, restaurants or food within a short walk. Everything required a good walk to reach which was fine for our group but would be tough for anyone older, with small children or wanting to cook any meals at the property.

Truly I would give this 4.5 stars if VRBO let me. It is a nice apartment in a pretty good location. We are a family of six and found we had plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out when we were in the apartment. The location is close to the T and we felt comfortable walking to and from the station during the day, but we did not feel comfortable dong that at night. An uber for all of us into/from the city was only a couple of dollars more than the T so there was no real inconvenience with that. Also, it is very residential. This means it was quiet, but there was not a lot to walk to in terms of a coffee shop, convenience store, grocery, etc. We took public transportation and ride share so I can't speak to the ease of parking near the unit, but I feel like we saw spots within a block of the apartment whenever we were coming and going.Heirloom was responsive and easy to work with.
