The home was wonderful especially for pets. Open floorplan, nice bathrooms, close walking distance to town and water and backyard is fully fenced in for pets.

Super close to downtown Southport and boat ramp. They believe in island time most restaurants close supportly around 8-9 nothing really opens until 10. Most stores close between 4-5.. We loved that it was quiet, relaxing, and the house was sooo welcoming! Definitely would stay again!

Max was excellent in communication. The house was well stocked with everything we could need -including dog bowls. Loved the pet friendliness! Quiet and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more.

AMAZING stay!!! The owner was extremely communicative and the house was conveniently located, well stocked with whatever we needed, and super clean! We will definitely be staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable cottage! Loved the clawfoot tub!We love Southport and this home is located a short drive to shops and restaurants.

This property was perfect for us. The location is fabulous. It was clean, well stocked with lots of extra beach necessities, very roomy with the open floor plan. Check-in and out was easy and checkout list was minimal. I worry at times with a lot of properties having a 10am check out what the check out expectations are. This property was extremely simple!! We were fortunate to be able to bring our Westie. He travels well and enjoys being included. This home included as many amenities for him as it did us! He was impressed!! Max, our host, was very attentive and responsive without being invasive. Just enough TLC! So... nothing but rest, relaxation, & good vibes at the Salty Patriot!! Thanks for the memories!!

Our stay at the Salty Patriot was good overall. The appliances were mostly new and a lot of the inside of the home had been redone well. Several concerns included the following issues. One of the beds in the second bedroom was so squeaky that when the sleeper turned over, you could hear it through the wall into the second bedroom. This also made it hard for that person to sleep in that bed. Also, due a cold snap while we were there, cockroaches decided to move in. Max was quick to respond and dropped off "traps". We appreciated his quick response but didn't appreciate the roaches. Also, the exterior of the home needs improvement. The roof and porch were quite old and may be in need of repair. My husband thought he may have heard "critters" in/on/around the roof although this could not be confirmed. We would not stay here again but other travelers might enjoy it and might not mind the things that bothered us.

The space was conveniently located to downtown. The house was adorable and super clean. For a small space, it was laid out very well and it never felt tight or cramped. Overall, great place to stay!

Property was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very functional. Location was close to town center. As we are of advanced age, it would have been nice to have had a hand rail at steps.

Very nice older home that's been renovated, and they did a great job. It was very clean, especially considering it was pet-friendly. Nice open floorplan and our dog loved the back yard. Very close to downtown and makes a great walk. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend, especially for pet owners.

Wow! This place was fabulous! Super clean and had everything we needed for a stay. It couldn’t be a better set up if you had a dog with a fenced backyard. Just minutes away from all the major beaches. Plenty of restaurants close by. The beds and bathrooms were comfy. Check in was easy and checkout was equally as problem free. The hosts were good communicators so we knew everything before we got there. We would definitely stay here again.

Southport

Our stay was terrific. The town is perfect, the house is exactly as described, and it is a short walk to downtown. Our dogs were welcome to join us at the house, which was a huge perk. There was plenty of room at the house, and we loved it so much that we booked an additional night after we arrived there. 10/10 recommend!

Nicely done bungalow. The street is in a bit of a transition with some houses in disrepair however we felt perfectly safe. Could use some paint touch ups like front steps. Front porch furniture was ok. Suggest adding a hand rail for the front and back steps. Kitchen was very nice and roomy.

Perfect location

Place is in the perfect spot. Less than 5 minute drive to piers. Stores, taverns and eatery are walking distance. Neighborhood was quiet. A good amount of dogs in the neighborhood as well. Park for kids or shooting hoops right down the road. Really nice stay for us and our dog. Max was great. Any questions I had he answered, easy to talk to and communicate with. Made the stay that much better. We will use again for sure!

The only thing that we did not enjoy about staying at this property was completely out of the control of the property owner. There was a neighbor across the street that loudly used profanity all hours of the day.
