We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had everything our family needed for a relaxing summertime mountain getaway. There was plenty of room for the family and the kids had a great time enjoying the amenities. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind after a day of activities, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy the mountains. The location was ideal for us. It feels secluded and serene, and you can take scenic drives to Ashville (25m), Biltmore Estate (35m), Lake Lure (1.25h). If you have kids, Highland Brewery is great, as well as the WNC Nature Center (close to each other).A few pro tips for future guests:- Closest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away, so I recommend doing your shopping on the way to the property, especially for your first day.- Cell service is spotty in the area. Before arriving, take screenshots of your entry code, check-in instructions, and Wi-Fi password. Once connected, the Wi-Fi worked great throughout our stay.- We didn't have any issues with mosquitoes, but because the property is near water, it may be worth packing some insect repellent just in case. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, which made the stay even better. Overall, this was exactly the mountain retreat we were hoping for: peaceful, spacious, family-friendly, and close enough to Asheville to enjoy everything the area has to offer.
