The Cottage was so clean ,and the beds were so comfortable. It's the small and compact but yet has lots of room. We loved our stay. We stayed off season ( which is what we wanted ) and the trees were beautiful .Quit are not far off the road but far enough not to hear the cars, and close enough to stores , restaurant's and the lake.Over all great experience and will look to rent here again .

The owner was friendly and communicated well. It was a very cute place. Only complaint was having to bring your own sheets and pillow covers which isn’t helpful when traveling. And the comforters and blankets they did have weren’t very thick. Outside of that still nice.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable.The screened porch was our favorite room with a good view of the river.A quiet and restful spot to unwind. It was a perfect fit for us and our two dogs.Kyle was an excellent host and we were warmly welcomed.

Kyle was wonderful. Got back to us very quickly. This cottage was exactly as described. Very peaceful, and quiet. Was very nice sitting on the back porch overlooking the river. Was so nice being able to have our dogs with us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook. Thanks, Kyle. We hope to make this place a yearly adventure.

This is our first experience with VRBO…..but maybe we have been spoiled by owning 8 timeshare weeks (at 5 locations). We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how clean the cabin was and that the kitchen was functional. The property has great potential, but a few upgrades would make it much more comfortable: improve the driveway with gravel to cover exposed roots, upgrade the TV antenna for better reception, replace the many small rugs with one large rug, and refresh the furniture. With those changes this would be a five star rental.

Awesome cabin and location

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is great, the location is beautiful and so peaceful and Kyle is a wonderful host. I would definitely want to stay there again on my next trip to Maine.

Very relaxing and quiet.

I stayed at the end of April, so it was very quiet. The location is great right on the river. The cabin is cozy. Host was very responsive and friendly.

Christmas Cabin

Maine Cottage

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at the Rhoads cottage. We enjoyed the river view while using the firepit.The cottage was well equipped for all seasons.Kyle was very helpful about all the details of the cottage and surrounding area.

A Quiet Hideaway Place

My first time booking a getaway like this and I was pleasantly surprised how this cottage fit my needs. Very clean inside and had all the amenities that I needed.The owner was friendly and was available for any questions.I would go back again.

Great place to relax

Close to state park with great beach area. Restaurants and stores nearby. Clean cottage with comfortable beds and furniture. Screened porch is a great feature. River is perfect for kayaking.

Great spot on the river. The canoe was easy to put in even though the river was super low during our stay. Fast internet, we could stream movies with no problem. The bed we stayed in was comfortable and the shower has plenty of hot water. The cabin is so dark at night, you can’t see your hand in front of your own face so you will sleep like a champion!

Cottage in the woods.

We loved the quiet.. just what we needed .. The place was cozy and clean and we enjoyed it very much. Kyle was very pleasant and helpful and made it very easy to check in and provide lots of information to assist us with our stay.. Very nice.

Wonderful solitude

It was very quiet and relaxing. Nice to hear animals at times. The owners were extremely helpful and courteous. A nice Maine cottage feeling.

I wish that the neighbors were not taking down trees all week and cutting up wood with a chainsaw. They started at 8 AM every morning and went all day with heavy trucks and equipment coming and going and very loud. We had to leave the area because of the noise. On Friday they had a big heavy truck unloading dirt on their front lawn. The back of the truck would make loud noises as it would swing open each time they emptied it. This was a one time thing I’m sure their front yard was pretty well finished when we left Saturday. It was very quiet after the workers left late in the afternoon and very quiet in the evenings. The cottage is very pleasant and clean. Kyle was very friendly and present when we arrived and told us all about the area and the cottage.

Hi Judy, I am sorry about the unexpected construction noise at the property nearby. Normally, the area is quiet, and neighbors are respectful.
