Beautiful view! Could use some updates and repair. Sliding glass door is very hard to open. Shower down stairs needs a new head, we all had to use the upstairs one and the front of the tub kept falling off. Light fixtures were very outdated and dim also only one fixture had a working bulb. Would be nice to have a hose to wash off feet and boots after hanging out on the beach!

Great budget place with an incrdible view, BUT the baseboard heater in the bedroom did not heat the room, and the ground floor shower needs a new shower head. Exterior lights on the deck did not come on and the sliding glass door is about to come off the track.

Great location on Mud Bay, this is the second time my family has stayed at this house. So tranquil but also close to dock access. No wifi which may be a plus if you’re really trying to disconnect!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but we do have some recommendations…Having a sponge available for washing dishes would be helpful.Thank you for having plenty of paper towels, toilet paper & trash bags. It would be nice to have listed that you had a propane grill available in the description on VRBO. We would have planned our food a little differently. The downstairs shower leaves much to be desired. The shower pressure would be much better if you replace or even clean/repair the shower head. It would be nice to have a few lamps in the main room so you don’t have to just use the overhead lights. Since you allow dogs, it would be nice to have under the house either cleaned up or enclosed. That could be dangerous for a curious dog. The sliding door does not work or lock!! It was horrible to have to strain each time we wanted to go in and out of the house. We weren’t going to put in the long code every time so we just dealt with the very poorly sliding door. It really needs to be repaired or more than likely replaced. The other big issue was the larger bed in the downstairs room. This was unacceptable. Luckily, we didn’t have to sleep in it, but good gracious you can’t ask someone to sleep in a bed that is essentially broken. Overall, we felt like for the cost per night was worth it for the location and view, but the place really could use some simple improvements to make it a little nicer, like bedspreads, paint, lamps, and a door that works!

A Great Friends Getaway

Although far from the ferry and from town (15 minute drive or 40 minute bike ride), it was the most spectacular view and a great "off-the-grid" vacation spot for a group of friends. Bring everything you'd need as there are little accoutrements but at least there's a grill!

Beautiful get away

This house was perfect for what we needed. Not having wifi and being secluded for a few days isn't too hard with the view from the house. Some things are a bit outdated but all in all it was great.

Great Get Away

I had the best time reconnecting with nature and my friends during our stay. Although it's the farthest location from the ferry, it is a beautiful home to watch the bay, fish, kayak, dip in the water, chat, unplug, and be one with the people you came with. No wifi or amenities outside of the views and rustic furniture. First time to the San Juan Islands but definitely hope to make this a bi-annual event!

Very beautiful location. Gorgeous view and exceptional stargazing from the nearby dock. Kitchen is clean and simply outfitted, (outlets behind counter to left of sink do not work, coffee pot worked at another outlet). House is adequate but bare-bones. ‘Bedroom’ with the 3 bed is actually the main entryway and unheated and the queen bed is broken and unusable. The house is spacious with a very comfortable living room and a gorgeous view and the blankets on the beds are pretty handmade quilts. Priced accordingly. You want all the bells and whistles there are many fancy dialed-in houses on Lopez. Worked fine for us.

Great view, OK value

The house is great--very clean, nicely furnished. The view is absolutely stunning. We are long-time visitors to Lopez Island so we know our way around. If you don't, this location may feel a bit isolated.

What a view!

It was fantastic! There is no wifi here, but you could sit and watch the water all day and it'd be a day well spent. The views are fantastic and Lopez Island has everything you need less than 20 minutes away.

Great Location

The house is in a great location. The house is a little dated- appliances and decor. The house is listed at a premium rate due to the location but lacks other amenities such as updated appliances, bedding and WiFi. Watching the wildlife was the large living rooms windows was a great way to start and end the day. The largest bedroom that states it sleeps 5 has no heating source available and is very cold at night.

The location of place is absolutely stunning, but the house itself is old and has not been maintained. Multiple advertised amenities were broken including the coffee maker and a whole queen bed, and the sliding doors onto the deck are barely functional. We still had a great time thanks to the setting, but these were very frustrating issues.

Beach access, otters, eagles and friendly people all around. House is older but fit us well. Plenty of space to fit 6-8 people comfortably. Nice selection of towels and plenty of pillows and blankets. Bring garage bags, foil or parchment paper if you are planning on being at the house and cooking.

Birthday getaway

We came for a relaxing weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. Loved the view from the house, the quiet neighborhood and beach. My only cons would be that the jacuzzi jets didn’t work, the oven was very hard to get the heat right, and I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out the coffee maker. Overall we liked it and plan to come back with the family.

Beautiful and relaxing

Really enjoyed staying here, was big and spacious andnpretty convenient. So nice to be so close to the water and dock in a quiet area that still got some activity with the dock but ultimately had a lot of privacy. House warmed up quick and bathtub was enjoyable though we couldn’t figure out the jets. Very nice stay and great getaway to unplug a little. Even w no wifi, cell service was strong and the dvd selections and board games kept us entertained. Would definitely come back!
