We had a wonderful stay! The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The hosts were very communicative, responsive, and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property!

Chas and Daniel's place is a beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped home that made our stay in the Lake Hartwell area so easy. They are extremely reactive as a hosts and thoughtful in the way they thought about how to equip the home and also in offering us early arrival and late check-out. The location on Lake Hartwell is gorgeous. We would absolutely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Last minute getaway. Host were prompt in communication. Cozy house with beautiful view. Water in lake even though there was a drought and 100 degrees. Lots of extras- chairs on dock, life jackets, kayaks to use. Thank you

Happy on Hartwell truly lives up to the name. The property was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. Chas responded quickly and kindly. The updated shower was a delightful bonus. We spent a good deal of time on the dock and appreciated the use of the kayaks that were in great condition. We even had the opportunity to listen to the very loud concert next door (complete with full band, electric guitar, and drums) that, very thankfully, only occurs twice per year. If you enjoy listening to a middle-aged man completely massacre Tennessee Whiskey in a manner in which Chris Stapleton would not approve, then this is absolutely the place for you. This is 100% beyond the owner’s control and it truly is not their fault that the next door neighbor forces everyone within a quarter-mile radius to pity clap them through classic rock anthems that I will never be able to unhear. The good news for anyone wishing to book Happy on Hartwell for the remainder of 2026 is that we have already “taken one for the team” by happening to schedule for one of only two weekends per year giving Roseanne-Barr-butchers-the-national-anthem-vibes. So I encourage you to please, PLEASE, book this otherwise lovely and peaceful place. Knowing that Happy on Hartwell is booked solid for the rest of 2026 will make the 3.5 hour assault on my eardrums worth it. Chas- you are lovely. Your hospitality is beyond compare. Other than those 3.5 hours on Saturday, I found the peace and respite I needed.
