Started our Maine vacation search looking for coastal beach house, but we're glad we found this inland cabin instead. Located within an easy day-trip ride to Acadia and just about an hour to closest coastal town for a fresh lobster meal. Also convenient to Appalachian Trail for a day hike, driving about the same distance as Acadia in opposite direction. But best things were proximity to adjacent lake (where we hiked, kayaked to try to find diving loons, and swam), 15-minute ride to nearby Skowhegan (where state fair happened to be going on), and just hanging at the cabin (where we found two comfy love seats and very nice fenced deck and "automatic screen door" that made it easy for our dog to go in and out on her own). Cabin is well-equipped with all essentials for our 9-night stay. Hosts were attentive and accommodative.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, pet-friendly cabin in the woods! It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and spend quality time with family and friends. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural setting made it such a special getaway. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to escape into nature, and we can't wait to come back again for years to come!
