This was such a wonderful place to stay. Such a gorgeous home that felt so clean, comfortable, well equipped and homely. It was quiet and an easy short drive to great restaurants in Neutral Bay and Kirribilli. We would definitely love to stay there again. We were very grateful to the hosts were so courteous, efficient and lovely to correspond with.

My daughters and I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The property was well placed for our activities in and around the city and lower north shore. Parking was a breeze. The home itself was well equipped, warm and inviting and super comfortable. Correspondence from the owners was prompt and friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to others and would definitely re-book in the future. Thanks so much for a lovely stay :)

Family catch up in Sydney

Lovely home, great location in a quiet area of Neutral Bay. Parks and shops nearby and good walks to ferry and train/metro stations in North Sydney . Namita was a great host and a good communicator. Would love to stay again.

Birthday

Great home and location. Used by my family for my birthday weekend. Short walk to a couple of lovely cafes and a morning walk to and over the harbour bridge. No problems with parking and access was easy. Namita was both very obliging and accessible. The home was equipped with everything you could ask for. Would highly recommended this property.

Overpriced and disappointing experience

When we booked this property we were under the strong impression it was a holiday rental. When we arrived we realised it was the hosts’ permanent residence. This was not clear in the description of the property and the host has since changed this to ensure future guests are aware and can make an informed decision prior to booking. We were very disappointed we did not get this opportunity and were mislead by the description of the property. The host did describe the property as ‘our home’ in one communication I had with them prior to our arrival but I understood this was because I was communicating with the ‘owner’ of the home given the nature of the Stayz platform.It was a very poor start to our first family holiday in Sydney to discover partially opened food in the fridge and cupboards and lots of personal belongings throughout the house. Not at all the “luxury” being promoted in the listing description when we booked. The beds are very uncomfortable and the linen and towels very basic. Overall this was a very overpriced and disappointing experience.

Your comments have helped us reflect and improve. This is our family home, and we prepare it with a lot of care and love before each stay. When we described it as “our home,” it was meant to be transparent, to share that it’s a privately owned, lived-in space with warmth and personality, not a hotel-style rental. I now realise that this may have led to a misunderstanding for some, and I’ve since updated the listing to make everything much clearer. It’s also worth noting that many holiday rentals today are private homes, and platforms like Stayz and Vrbo are designed with that in mind. For safety and privacy reasons, we don’t share every detail publicly, but we’re always happy to answer any questions before you book. We’ve taken the feedback on board and are making changes where needed. Most of our guests have loved the stocked fridge and pantry, comfort, character, and welcoming feel of the space—and I’m committed to offering a positive, relaxing stay for everyone who visits.
