We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Podere Mariano. Everything about it was exceptional- the house is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, a fantastic well-stocked kitchen, AC, an amazing pool and plenty of room for our family of 5. It was perfectly positioned - the view of Volterra and the Tuscan hills from the outdoor area was simply to die for and the pool area was a gorgeous retreat. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We can’t recommend this place highly enough - it was luxurious and showcased Tuscany at its finest! Thank you for a great stay.

Wonderful holidays in Tuscany ! The house was exactly as advertised, very comfortable, with AC in every room (which was very useful during hot waves in the middle of August) and bathrooms for each room. We slept like babies the whole week. The swimming pool was also great, after long trips in Firenze, Pisa or Sienna. We actually chose the location to be about an hour from all the main spots in Tuscany, but we were very lucky to find this house, 15 minutes from Volterra (the city at night is very nice). Its location on top of a hill, with a real 360 view, is amazing (the magic of drinking a Spritz at sun down with the view). Our hosts were great, always available to answer any question. Thanks again !

Podere Maiano is a truly wonderful villa. Perched on a hilltop the 360 degree views are spectacular. You will be hard pushed to find a villa with better views than this. The property itself has been recently renovated and the owners have decorated it perfectly capturing a wonderful balance between showcasing the original features of this farmhouse whilst mixing modern and traditional furniture that works wonderfully together. The owners have created some beautiful spaces outside too, the pool area is thoughtfully designed with a shower and wc and the pool itself is heated which is an added bonus. The location of the villa is just the right balance of countryside peace and quiet but still close to the beautiful Medieval town of Volterra which is just 10 minutes drive away. Local must see visits such as San Gimignano, Pisa, Siena and Firenze are also easy to get to and if you fancy a day at the beach you can also head to the sea in under an hour. Our family had a wonderful time here and we would love to return again soon. To cap it all off the hosts were brilliant, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

Wir hatten 2 wunderbare Wochen in der Toskana bei Volterra. Auch wenn die Anfahrt zum Anwesen nichts für Sportwagen ist (lieber mit einem SUV) angekommen wurden wir herzlich begrüßt. Alle Klimatisierten und großzügige Räume waren im top Zustand. Nach einem Unwetter, wurden wir kontaktiert ob alles in Ordnung sei und es kam sofort jemand vorbei, um nach dem rechten zu sehen. So muss das sein! Alles war wie beschrieben und den Bildern im Inserat. Wenn es die Zeit nochmal zulässt, kommen wir wieder. Wir können das Ferienhaus zu 100% weiter empfehlen.

We have just returned from the most amazing stay at Podere Maiano. Paul, Laura and Lili were the best hosts, very communicative and so friendly and helpful. Their home is so beautiful the photos are amazing, but the villa and the 360 degree views are simply breathtaking. The villa is luxurious, but you feel totally at home at the same time. Everything has been so carefully thought of. We all enjoyed the pool, especially our grandchildren loved it! and the pool toys that were thoughtfully supplied. We had a very much needed week of rest and relaxation and would very much love to return in the near future.

Wonderful villa. Pictures don’t do the views or the interiors justice. Wouldn’t change anything . Pool was spectacular with nice covered space and open areas - along with those magnificent views.Owners were exceptional!
