Highly recommend this cute home. We enjoyed the fresh eggs, the gas fireplace inside, the fire pit outside, the neighborhood trail, and delicious coffee provided. We saw a deer at dusk. We had everything we needed. Very kind host.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage. All the personal details were wonderful and our host was the perfect balance of friendly, informative, and respectful of space. The fresh eggs were delicious and our kitty visitor was a delight! We hope to be back!

Rewild Cottage reflects the warmth and creativity of the host and provided a welcoming retreat our family. We spent a three-day weekend there and explored all over the Gold Country. The host even provided a “dog kit” to ensure we had everything to make our already-spoiled dog feel at home.

A wonderful retreat in the woods

I had an amazing time at Andrea's Rewild Cottage. Its just what I was looking for a getaway from work and the city. A gem of a find in the woods in gold rush country.

Wonderful nest during my weekend visit to Nevada city. Short commute downtown, but located in a quiet neighborhood amongst the pines. Andrea was lovely. They created a holistically relaxing environment, and respected my space while offering hospitality and support for my journey if I asked for it.

I would love to give this another star for 'Perfect', but hopefully my review will be convincing enough. I don't know how the host, Andrea, was able to get it so right, but the cottage is an amazing blend of luxury AND simplicity! The soft linens, the fireplace and heated bathroom, handmade art and furniture, great lighting, and a well-equiped kitchen with some extra supplies like fresh eggs and a basket of teas to choose from, were all even better experienced than viewing in pictures or reading from these reviews. You can tell that every thought went into creating a comfortable space for guests to relax and refresh. The place oozed peacefulness and helped us feel carefree at the end of our trip. It was a perfect way to end our adventures in CA!

We live about an hour away so we were familiar with the area. We’ve done several day trips but wanted to do an overnight to stay in the area and have a longer time to explore. This neighborhood is probably the friendliest and nicest one we’ve stayed at. Dog friendly, and there’s a real environmental conscious sense of community here which was lovely as someone who loves nature. The property was easy to navigate to, and the guest parking sign made it easy for us to know where to park :) Perks to staying here: there is a trail that runs around an irrigation cannel. It was great for humans and pup. Fresh coffee beans and to-go cups. There are so many trails, shopping, and restaurants nearby. We loved The Ham Stand for sandwiches. We visited Lily’s Garden open May 1 - Sept 30. A must see if you’re in the area. It is beautiful. Mama Madrone’s Eco-emporium is one of my favorite places to shop. The cottage itself is cozy. I loved the decor and reading about the history of the property. The bed is one of the best I’ve slept in while traveling, and a hot shower under the waterfall shower-head after a day of hiking was a treat. Before leaving, I was already looking at when the next time my husband and I could visit :) We will be back! Thank you Andrea & Nina for creating and sharing such a special place.

We found peace!

My husband and I came up for a quick getaway. (We left our 16 year old and my 77 year old mother at home with the dogs) We planned on using this as a base camp to go snowboarding each day. Instead…we slept. We had the most glorious, restful, peaceful sleep we have had in years. lol. I’m smiling as I write this. We got to see deer, hummingbirds, chickens and the sweetest cat ever! We enjoyed walks on the quiet road and sitting on the patio. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked. Andrea has created such a sweet space. If you are looking for quiet, cozy, relaxing…this is your place!

Beautiful Getaway in Nature

We spent 2 days in this amazing jewel of a property. Host Andrea is gracious and thoughtful. We loved the eggs she kindly shared from her hens on the property. The most impressive thing about the cabin is the incredible, beautiful, original woodwork that the host has done in her own woodshop on site. She also left a personalized welcome note for our arrival. One thing that would make the experience even better would be a more effective air conditioning system to keep up on hotter days and allow better sleep. When we stayed, the high was around 90F and outdoor temperatures did not return to 68F until 6 AM. Leaving the windows open at night unfortunately did not remedy this condition.

I wish you had let me know during your stay so I could have tried to help. Today I made appointments to get estimates for upgrading the AC in the cottage. The extreme heat is a real challenge for us all.

This is a solid 5-star property & host; lovely and peaceful surrounds, simple yet comfortable interior and decor, thoughtful details like great cooking equipment and spices, office supplies, and just-in-case-toiletries. The host was friendly and communicative.

BEST VRBO WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT!! It was perfect! Super clean - felt brand new. It was clearly built and designed thoughtfully with love. Andrea is the best host we have ever encountered. And a very welcoming home away from home for our dog as well. Her property is gorgeous and everything had country charm. No surprises and the photos don’t do it justice, it was so so nice to be there we didn’t want to leave. Thank you Andrea! We will definitely be back! Also the lovely note, farm fresh eggs and fresh flowers were a beautiful touch. We felt very cared for! Thanks again!
