Civil War history meets rugged outdoor adventure at `Cottage on the Ridge,` a Rossville, GA, vacation rental. The 3-bed, 2-bath home is just an 8-mile drive from Lookout Mountain, where hiking trails give way to breathtaking natural views. History buffs can choose to discover the wealth of knowledge the mountain provides or explore Missionary Ridge`s must-see monuments and sites, including the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center. After, return home and enjoy a glass of sweet tea on the deck.
House Rules

No smoking or vaping allowed in home.
Pets are welcome with a fee. Contact property manager if you haven`t paid.

The property was a perfect fit for our family and we were so happy to be able to bring the pups along. Check in was easy and the host was always quick to reply whenever I needed anything. It was a quick 15 minute drive to anything we wanted to do in downtown Chattanooga. Can’t wait to come back!

We had issues as soon as we walked in the door. We killed 3 roaches as soon as we got in the house. The coffee pot had an old filter and coffee in it that was hard and covered in mold. 1 of the bedrooms stated through Vrbo was listed as 2 double beds but they were twin beds. There was bug sticky traps all over the house full of dead bugs. On the outside, the grass had not been cut in a while. There was trash and clothes left up under the stairs where you come in the back. But our host was quick to respond to our issues! He offered us a refund for the issues we had. I’m not sure I would recommend the house but I recommend the host. Maybe other properties would be better.

Cozy and Comfortable Stay

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable home and felt so relaxed all week. It was perfect for our family of six, spacious, clean, and furnished so comfortably. Bobby is a really nice and responsive homeowner who answered all of our questions. We enjoyed that the sightseeing attractions were close by, Rock City and the Tennessee Aquarium were our kids favorite! Loved everything about this experience and definitely recommend this property!Thank you Bobby.

Centrally located

Great location. Property needs a bit of work. Front porch furniture is dry rotted and falling apart, not a good first look when you arrive. Interior was spacious and clean. Bathrooms were great. Microwave was not working. We mostly used the back door for entry due to the location of the driveway. Home was fully stocked with everything needed, except toilet paper. Overall we enjoyed our stay!!

Cozy Home for Quick Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home! It was incredibly pet-friendly, with a spacious and secure yard that made traveling with our furry family member stress-free and enjoyable. The house itself felt so homey and welcoming — cozy furnishings, thoughtful décor, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location was also fantastic — tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private, yet still close to shops, restaurants, and beautiful outdoor areas. The drive to the house was very easy, with straightforward roads and plenty of nearby conveniences without feeling crowded.Every part of our experience was delightful, from the well-stocked kitchen to the relaxing outdoor spaces. The only small drawback was the mattress in the master bedroom, which was quite firm and made it hard to get a good night's sleep. A mattress topper could be an easy fix to make it perfect.Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. It’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway, especially if you're traveling with pets!

Everything was as advertised. It was clean and convenient. The only issue was there are quite a few stairs. We are an older couple, so that was a bit much. We advised the owner to mention that in the add.
