great location and helpful host

This nice-sized house is close to downtown and is a convenient drive to most of the spots we wanted to visit in Murfreesboro. The host included all the amenities we needed and made the check-in/check-out process easy to navigate. The host was communicative and helpful, and we enjoyed our time.

I rented this place for our 22yo son, who wanted to visit a friend in Murfreesboro for his birthday in August. Factor’s such as safety, convenience, comfort and price were a priority for me (as this was his first solo trip without family), and that’s why we BOTH chose this VRBO, and we’re very happy we did! I personally didn’t see/stay in the home, but my son absolutely LOVED it and he took pictures for me to see that the home matched the VRBO images/description on the listing— which it did/does I highly recommend this VRBO AND its thoughtful, communicative host Thanks for offering this safe and beautiful place for my son… and the memories he made there*The only MINOR issue we encountered as renters had nothing to do with the house, or the host, but rather the visibility/availability of pertinent rental info, such as: intuitive access to pre and post checkin/out instructions, the physical address for drivers (beyond google coordinates;), etc. I wouldn’t say that it’s a “negative”, just a non intuitive catch that’s easy to fix! The vital info WAS there, and eventually we did find it, but it was a bit odd and frustrating to deal with from afar. I should also note that the host was very understanding about any details/instructions our son might’ve missed, so I really appreciated that as well

Very cute and clean house with comfortable bed. Quiet and centrally located. Unlocked basement door took me by surprise as I was looking for the linen closet and assumed that door was it. Scared me a little since I was staying alone. Otherwise a lovely stay.

3-Star for missing towels

Did not locate towels and wash rags until last day there. Found them in the TV cabinet in the bedroom? The oven did not work. Other than that it was a nice little cottage. Cozy and accessible as mentioned on the listing.

In the check-in instructions it tells you where the towels, wash rags, cleaning supplies, extra bedding, etc. are. The bathroom vanity isn’t very large and there isn’t a ton of room to put a lot of towels in there so we put it in that guest bedroom cabinet. Also I checked the oven and everything works as it should. I hope other than that you guy enjoyed your stay!

Cottage stay

House was not clean, floor in the kitchen was sticky and so was counter, whole house had an odd musty smell, someone place scented sachets on a/c vent to try to mask the smell. Lighting in kitchen was horrible and light / exhaust fan on stove didn't work.

Perfect for our needs

We were in Murfreesboro for the MLS Next Cup and found this house in advance. It was ideal for what we needed. Easy to access, A/C worked great, WIFI worked great, kitchen was small but worked great for our family.It is definitely an older home (built in the 50s) so don't expect new build quality but it has lots of character with more modern furnishings. It is listed as 3 bedrooms but note that the third bedroom is really an air mattress in either the TV room or the room near the front door so there is no real privacy for that "room". The owner is very nice and an excellent communicator who was quick to answer any questions. Overall, it was perfect for our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.
