Only 30 minutes to Chama and centrally located between Pagosa Springs, Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. Take your unmotorized watercraft to Heron Lake State Park, only a 5 minute drive away. Visit Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu to experience natural, as well as artistic, wonders. Escape the city, relax, & enjoy the quiet, star-filled skies of northwest NM.

Please settle in to our cozy log cabin home near the Rio Chama River, El Vado Lake State Park, and Heron Lake State Park! Enjoy the unencumbered views of Apache Mesa and El Vado Meadow! It’s only a 30 minute drive to Chama and centrally located between Pagosa Springs, Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. It was very peaceful and had a beautiful view. The only thing missing was the lake! Hopefully there will be water again. We took a lot of walks and played a lot of scrabble. My dogs thanked us for getting them out of town and away from the 4th of July fireworks

The property had a beautiful overall feeling and quality (i.e. cabin, views, everything you ever needed away from home was supplied, but especially the 2nd floor patio. It had warmth and a spectacular view. We watched the fog come in over the mountains. It was a sight. Thank you.

A very nice cabin with excellent amenities. We were impressed with the attention to detail of everything. We found the cabin to be in very good condition and very COMFORTABLE. From the linens to the kitchen utensils, it was well furnished making for a very enjoyable stay. I would have appreciated a grill, but it was not too inconvenient. The cabin is a bit off the beaten path, but it was easy to get to where we needed to be. The evenings were enjoyable. A quiet area and a great view of the stars. We saw a wide variety of wildlife. Our communication with the host was great - prompt and informative.

Had a great time going to the lake and seeing the prairie dogs in the area. Cabin was perfect for a getaway from daily stress. Wifi was great if you need to work on things even in the mountains.
