Just a lovely stay! Clean, would stay again. Quiet. Game room was a hit with my teens. Good layout for a family. Everything was great and easy to use from the hot tub and cute gas fire pit. The towels in the main bathroom were kind of old, worn, and thin so you may want to bring some if that is important to you. Other than that the property was just as described.

My husband and I spent the month of July relaxing in delight at Deer Haven Cabin, away from the Florida heat! We barbecued, used the fire pit, and spent many evenings sitting in the well-maintained hot tub while we watched fireflies and counted the many stars! The cooler mountain days and nights on the amazing wrap-around porch were totally captivating, as we brought our Bird Buddy camera bird feeder and a couple of hummingbird feeders and caught so much of the local bird activity. We took countless photos of the many deer who make their home on this mountain. The king bed in the main bedroom was very comfy. There were some maintenance issues that we feel were the result of shorter-term guests who did not communicate them to the very responsive property management team. For the benefit of future guests, the steep gravel driveway to the cabin was a bit scary to me, and every floor in this quaint cabin squeaks when you walk, Modern electronics and good Internet service rounded out this memorable trip for us! Worthy of your attention for sure!

Over all it was a perfect trip. The cabin was as expected. I gave 4 stars for checkin because we booked last minute and their procedures indicated filling out forms 24 hrs in advance. However we recieved our code 1hr before checkin. I gave communication a 4 as well for the same experience with checkin. We could not get in contact the day of checkin. Once checked in we had no issues. We would stay again, just would book more than 24 hrs in advance. ;). Kids loved the hot tuband games down stairs. Stocking the livingroom with bosrd games would be a plus. Normally we would buy a game for the house and leave it but we were strapped for time.

Cabin itself was nice. Property management company note in the listing to keep noise levels down as cabin is in a neighborhood. We are quiet people so it didn’t phase us, when we booked. Neighbors were especially loud and 2 of the men who appear to live in the home down from the rental property kept coming up to the cabin yard, creeping around and with one of their several dogs. It was a bit unsettling. While everything with cabin was fine, the whole thing with them just appearing from behind the trees that lined the property was unnerving to me. We had some communication with the property management company on other things and they were respondent with an issue we had with getting the string lights on. Other than that, our stay was good.
