Step into this charming 2-bedroom loft, located in the heart of Bloomington, IN! Nestled in the Historic Mitchell Bros Building, this Superhost property is a guest favorite, loved for its cozy yet stylish vibe, industrial charm, and thoughtful amenities like free parking, Keurig coffee, and local recommendations. Walk to IU, Kirkwood, and downtown hotspots. Perfect for families, groups, or IU events, this space offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay!
The space
The unit has 1 king size bedroom, 1 queen in its own alcove, and the also have a pull out queen bid in the main area.. These carefully curated units boast 9-14 ft. ceilings, custom Amish Cabinetry, ceramic-tiled bathrooms, and custom doors and trim, offering a glimpse of the past with modern comforts.
Guest access
There is a shared deck on the rear of the building. Each unit will have a designated free parking spot which is same number as the unit. There will also be onsite parking in the paved lot except during business hours of 8AM thru 5PM .

Very convenient location; within walking distance of a large variety of shops, bars, restaurants and more. Lovely unit and the dedicated parking spot was great. We appreciated the Keurig (& pods) as well as the shared deck. Please note the unit could use a spatula. Thank you for a terrific weekend stay!

We could not have been happier with our stay here! It was even nicer in person than it looked in the pictures, which were beautiful. Everything was clean and comfortable. We absolutely loved it! The Chocolate Moose and 7 Star Indian Cuisine restaurants right across the street were wonderful too! It was a very easy 5 to 7 minute walk to the town square where there are so many great shops and restaurants, such as Book Corner, Rita’s, My Thai, Social Cantina, and Lennie’s.

The property was immaculate! The owners were very kind and prompt in responding to a fire alarm chirping that needed a new battery. I would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and cozy unit. Check in was super easy. Although it’s bordering not the best neighborhood, we felt safe had no issues. Locked main entrance and locked unit on the second floor made this unit safe. Well stocked, well decorated. I would stay here again.

This apartment was absolutely perfect. The pictures and information on this property were 100% accurate. Was a great location, close to restaurants and IU campus. On-site private parking and easy check in was amazing. Host was traveling but still responsive to a question about checking in early. As stated in other reviews it is on a somewhat busy street so there is some street noise, so if that bothers you it may be less than ideal. Unfortunately and sad there are some homeless in this area but I had no issue and never felt unsafe or even approached by anyone. The architecture details that were put into this location were amazing. Perfectly decorated and appointed with furniture and everything you would need to make for a perfect comfortable stay. The outside patio was amazing as well. For sure will consider this location again with my next stop in my beloved Bloomington. Highly recommend you do too!

The studio was very clean and updated. Parking was easy and not crowded at all. However, it is in a very busy, noisy area. If you are staying to get rest or a good night sleep, this is not a sound reduction space. It is also next to the homeless park and there were a few instances where we had to sit in the car and wait for particular individuals to pass so we could feel safe to enter the apartment.

Very glad you found our place clean and comfy. Being right downtown is more noisy than others, but does have lots of perks. As far as the homeless all of the downtown area deals with this sad situation. We do have security cameras all around the exterior of the building, but have never had any issues with the homeless causing any problems.

Wedding weekend

This was the perfect location and amenities for me to prepare desserts for a local wedding, when we were coming in from Northeast Indy. The owner allowed us to check in early to accommodate that schedule. Greatly appreciated the flexibility and communication. Clean w/ cute decor, and the water pressure in the master is awesome!! Didn’t try the other. Would definitely stay again

This was one of the best BnBs we've stayed in over the years. Extremely clean, lovely decor and comfy furniture and beds, quality dishes and kitchenware, the cutest mini dishwasher, and a perfect space for us as we traveled to Bloomington to spend a few days. Lovely hot showers and thick towels. Fantastic location, an easy stroll to downtown and fun shops, and a great ice cream place across the street! Easy parking, either in the assigned space or if needed, free night parking on the street right in front. We will Definitely try to stay in this in the future as we drive up to see area family. Very quiet in terms of possible neighbors ie not a sound because the building is so solidly built, and apparently historic which explains the good quality. We are from a very isolated rural area, so we did notice a little city street noise, but that's mostly us being from the country. One reviewer was concerned about the presence of a few unhoused people occasionally walking by. We saw a couple, but not the slightest issue from them or anyone else, ie this is a VERY safe place. This place is a find!
