Thank you for your review Leandro. Very valid comments and I appreciate that. I have spoken to my caretaker. The television is going to be upgraded later this month as fibre broadband has been recently installed to the community and it means we can invest in a smart tv. You were not to know this. I think there is a setting on the fridge to change the coolness, but again I will ask the caretaker to check that it is working. We have never had a hot tube as it is a first floor flat :) I hope you will consider visiting the area again, even if you don't stay in this apartment. Karen

Thank you so much for your feedback. It really does help other people decide where to stay to hear from a traveller. Therefore, I hope you don't mind me correcting a few misunderstandings. You are absolutely correct in saying that this area of Spain, like so many others, has suffered during the financial crisis. To be fair to the local Vera Town Hall, the area was absolutely immaculate and weed free in May, when there were some protests about the lack of communal work despite us all paying our taxes. Like many things, the one clear up has not continued, and we cannot keep updating our photographs, but our community do regularly ask the Town Hall to do their bit and tidy up the municipal areas. The €20 charge was because you wouldn't pay a deposit through this website. I cover the cost for my caretaker to meet you and give you the keys. Most guests leave the keys in the apartment at the end of their visit so there is no need for her to visit a second time until cleaning, but she needed to see you out to repay your cash deposit. It isn't on the listing as it is advised to pay the deposit on the website for visitors' own security. It is held by HomeAway in a secure account, not given to the owners and is a much safer system for everyone than paying it in cash. Al Andalus Hills is a completed community and has been for 10 years. The site next door was to be a municipal basketball/playground but Vera Ayuntamiento have never actioned their planning. As Owners on the neighbouring community there is little we can do about this. I am sorry you didn't find the welcome pack in the apartment. There are directions to the 20 or so eateries within a 15 minute walk of the apartment. Whilst not all will be open in November, there would be a wide range of different cuisines to choose from, and no car would be needed. Karen

Don't forget the local bus. Just €1 gets you into Mojacar Playa or Vera Town. Fantastic twice hourly service throughout the year, that runs 24/7 during the peak season.
