Your cozy cabin retreat in Eclectic awaits! Nestled on two secluded acres off the main road, this fully renovated home offers the perfect peaceful atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring.
Inside, you'll find a beautifully updated kitchen with new appliances and a spacious living room. The cabin sleeps comfortably with a queen bed in the bedroom on the ground floor, an ensuite bathroom, a loft with two twin beds above, and a sofa bed in the living room. A mini split AC and heater regulates the temperature on the first level, with a window unit in the loft for extra comfort throughout the year.
Enjoy modern conveniences like a washing machine, heating, and WiFi throughout your stay. The property also offers ample parking space for multiple vehicles, boats, and ATVs, making it ideal for your adventures. Make your holiday one to remember with a stay at this charming, quiet cabin retreat. This property is not located on Lake Martin and does not have direct beach or boat access to Lake Martin. Grill was incredibly dirty. We had to kill at least 3 roaches a day. Hot tub is a brave word for basically a blow up basin that barely got above room temp. Ceiling above shower was covered in dead bugs. Also the door to the bathroom is terrible in terms of privacy and difficult to close.

Dear Mo and company, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Because the cabin is located directly in the woods, insects are unfortunately part of the environment and can occasionally make their way inside despite our regular pest-control treatments. We also provide pest spray inside the cabin for guests to use when needed. That said, we will make sure the area above the shower is addressed, as dead bugs should have been removed during cleaning. Regarding the grill, we would like to clarify that it was not dirty, but does have visible rust from being exposed to the outdoor elements. We understand how that may have appeared and will consider replacing the grill. The hot tub is an inflatable-style hot tub and is accurately represented in our listing photos. Our welcome guide also specifically explains that the hot tub can take up to four hours to reach the desired temperature, so guests should allow adequate time for it to fully heat. We will, however, continue to make sure the unit is functioning and heating properly. We also appreciate the feedback regarding the bathroom door and will have it inspected and repaired to improve both its operation and privacy. We apologize for the minor inconveniences you experienced. We take the cleanliness and upkeep of our cabin seriously and will address the items within our control, while also recognizing that insects and other elements of nature can be difficult to completely eliminate when staying in a cabin surrounded by woods. Remote retreat: clean and cozy; tiny cabin perfect for a small group wanting some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Peaceful, lovely wraparound porch, updated tiny kitchen, updated single bathroom (shower only) inside master bedroom. Wonderfully kind and helpful host; great communication and support.

We had a great time relaxing, playing games and hanging out in the hottub. The dogs loved the woods for they don't get to see much of that at home. The location was good hiking and even going to the casino. Definitely recommend. I wish there had been a second bathroom though, and not having to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Much better than a hotel in Montgomery in terms of privacy and space, but the hot tub took all night to heat up the water, and the response from the host was that the expectation is for the previous guest to maintain the proper temperature. Why would this not be a task for the housekeeper?

Kacey, Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad you enjoyed the privacy and space the home offers compared to a hotel. Regarding the hot tub, we do ask each departing guest to leave it at the recommended temperature, as outlined in both the Welcome Guide emailed prior to arrival and the Welcome Book located in the home. This helps ensure it's ready for the next guests. Unfortunately, in this instance, the previous guest did not follow those instructions which resulted in a delayed time for your enjoyment in the hot tub. However, it is still outlined in the welcome guide that at least four hours is required for the hot tub to reach preferred temperatures. For safety and maintenance reasons, our housekeepers do not routinely adjust the hot tub's operating settings between guests unless there is a reported issue. We responded promptly with an explanation and guidance once you reached out. While we're sorry this impacted your experience, it's disappointing that this single issue resulted in a 4 out of 10 review, especially considering the home has consistently earned 10/10 reviews from previous guests. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to provide an exceptional experience for every guest. We do hope to host again soon. Rachel

This cozy, updated home in the woods was the perfect spot to unwind after a weekend wedding. Tucked away in a peaceful setting, the house strikes the perfect balance between comfort and modern convenience.The interior was clean, tastefully updated, and had everything we needed—from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and a relaxing living space. We especially appreciated the quiet, wooded surroundings and the sense of privacy, which made it easy to relax and recharge.Whether you’re in town for an event or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a gem. We’d gladly stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Sweet Retreat. Everything we needed for our stay was available: pots, pans, spices, even the wood for the fire pit. The cabin includes a perfectly-sized dishwasher to help clean-up after eating a meal cooked on the gas grill located on the deck just outside the back door. We particularly liked the electric fireplace, which I used in the morning to warm up the cabin while my wife slept late, and the hot tub, also located right outside the back door on the deck.While remote enough for complete R&R, the Retreat was near enough to groceries, nail salon, and restaurant. We were especially impressed with Cotton's BBQ. It was by far the best we've ever had.All in all, the Retreat was worth the expense, and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the future.

Peace and Quiet

We stayed at the cabin this past weekend for a few nights and had a great time. The cabin was well organized and very clean when we arrived. The cabin’s setting in the woods was very quiet and offered great views of the surrounding forest. Its proximity to Lake Martin is really nice. You get your privacy at the cabin with Lake Martin just down the road. We did run into a few minor issues with the cabin, and the owners were amazing with their promptness in rectifying things. We were kept in the loop constantly throughout, and we were really impressed with the owners timeliness in ensuring a great stay. Will definitely be back in the area again, and will be rebooking the cabin once again as well.

The cabin was beautiful and secluded which is exactly whay we wanted. The host was responsive to all inquiries and quite helpful. The cabin was well furnished with the supplies needed for a comfortable stay.
