The lodging was lovely, the yard and outdoor area was beautiful overlooking the pond. There are lovely trails and nice places to walk the dogs. The kitchen was well appointed, and the common areas were very comfortable. The only drawback was the steep and shallow stairs to the upstairs. The rise to run is dangerously steep. I felt like I had to be super aware when going up or down. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

The small apartment is quirky and cute! It has everything you need and is in such an awesome location. It’s attached to a larger rental house, so you may hear the other folks and will see them in the backyard. The kitchen is fine for a quick snack but not set up to cook a meal. Courtney was responsive when the WiFi was out; it was fixed in a day. We had a great visit to Stowe!

Thanks for leaving such a thorough review, Wendy - its always helpful for potential guests to read prior guest's feedback. Although I'm not sure why you say the kitchen is not set up to cook a meal - the stove and counter space are smaller but there are pots and pans and cookie sheet and stove and oven and fridge... all the things needed to cook a meal - my son and I used to live in the apt so I assure you plenty of meals were made there, it is just a smaller space. I would love to hear why you think its not set up to cook so I could make sure other guests dont feel the same. We have had people come and cook Thanksgiving meals there! 1. Great location. Very convenient and easy to get to everything in Stowe.2. Host is very responsive and helpful. Gave us a great guide to Stowe.3. House was clean. Clean bedsheets and linens.4. Just that the AC in the upstairs room is a little noisy. Difficult to sleep with the AC on. We had to switch it off in the middle of the night so we could catch on some sleep.

We loved our stay at this little house, it was just perfect for us and our two dogs. Beautiful quiet setting.

Perfect place to stay for a wedding event at Von Trapp Resort. Only minutes away so we could come back and feed our dog dinner and let her out. Ideally located for all that Stowe has to offer! Very comfortable, well decorated and beautiful spot!

The surroundings of the house are really peaceful. The small kitchen and back deck were perfect to appreciate the summer evening. You will want to stay longer!

Communication was very efficient. Property was maintained and very nice!!!! Just a very few minor issues that we noticed. Being a connected rental and the door between being very thin, you could hear their dogs barking, the kids screaming, and then the adults talking. This could be an easy fix so both set of occupants could enjoy. We had to “rummage through things to find the kitchen towels (which were in the living room) and I didn’t feel like they had a lot of basics like most rentals have. One nicely laminated “instruction” sheet would be nice. The faucets for the shower was on such a tiny piece of paper that we didn’t even notice it until we left (two older people with not very good eye sight). There was a trick to getting warm water, so you will want to look for that piece of paper on the shelf in the bathroom if you want a warm shower. My husband had to stand on the bed to turn off the light for the ceiling fan at night. Both the light and fan were operated from the same switch. The ceiling fans were very, very dirty along with cobwebs in many of the walls. The location was nice and it met the basic needs, but we felt that some minor changes could really help.

Sounds like some deep clean was in order after the lengthy Summer rental season and that has happened - also sounds like someone just pulled the cord on the ceiling fan - which I'll have the cleaning crew make sure is part of their checklist from now on. Im not sure why the towels would have been in the living room??? haha. Very helpful for you to mention these things though so I can hopefully get the cleaning/maintenance crew on the details.
