Squirrel Hill home, sleeps 11. 10 min to Oakland & Downtown.

This is a 100-year old house with original hardwood oak floors, 5 bedrooms, front porch, back patio, backyard/hill with natural landscaping and daily visits by the local deer population.

Sleeps 11 people plus a playpen and portable crib are available. Beds are super comfy 12” plush memory foam mattresses with PeachSkin Sheets on all beds for a superior sleep experience.

Amenities: Wifi, Smart TVs, washer and dryer on first floor. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking/baking. Dining room is spacious with a table that opens up to seat 8. Living room has couch, love seat and piano. There is a bathroom on each floor, a brand new high-capacity water heater, and ample street parking in front of home.

We have stocked the house with basic amenities so our guests can travel lightly. A smart lock is installed to ensure a convenient check in. We live a short 4 blocks away, so we are available quickly should any issues arise.

Great place for large family. There are great parks near by. The location is ideal because it is close to the parkway (376) and shopping and many restaurants in sq hill. Highly recommend.

Great location to PITT, plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy being together. Lots of food choices in walking distance, coffee shops, and treats. I loved walking the hills and enjoying the beautiful houses.

We stayed here to be close to downtown Pittsburgh for the annual pickle festival and it was perfect! The house was so nice, clean, comfy, cool, and fit our big family. The kids played games at the big dining room table and the sisters got to hang out and catch up. We met Karen in person due to user error with the lock and she was so kind and accommodating. Gave us some helpful tips for our visit as well! The neighborhood was quiet and shopping and food was close. Highly recommend!

Location, location, location. The squirrel hill shopping district is only 10 minutes away on foot. Over there you can find lots of good restaurants. CMU is only 5 minutes on Uber. The beat is the host who is so responsive and informative. We'll definitely come back next time.

Great place to stay for a whole family in town for a family celebration (simcha). Comfortable and well located. Thoughtful and responsive hostess!!

The host was very responsive to messages, friendly, and helpful. The house was very nice, perfectly located, and suited my family’s needs very well. There were many thoughtful touches throughout the house that made our stay better. The beds were comfortable. There are a lot of stairs inside and out just as described in the listing, but not a problem for my family. I would certainly stay here again.

Host was very communicative and helpful, and I loved that the place was family friendly. The travel crib was great and having baby gates on the stairs was a life saver. The place was fairly clean and stocked with good dishes, clean sheets, and lots of extra towels which was a plus. Great to be so close to great food as well. Overall we had a good stay. However, the house itself is very old, floors are sunken in and bowed in several places. There is a small hole in the wall of the living room where I can see daylight. The beds were also not super comfortable, kind of felt like I was going to fall off, which may have also been the floors. No central air also made the house very humid and uncomfortable at times. Squirrel Hill in general also seems to be crumbling and falling apart, kind of sad to see. Like I said, an overall positive experience, but the house definitely needs some work.

We are a bit surprised by the negative concerns mentioned in your review, as we didn't receive any communication regarding them during your stay. We are always highly responsive and would have loved the opportunity to assist you immediately. For instance, while the home doesn't feature central air, every single room is equipped with its own dedicated window AC unit to ensure our guests stay cool and comfortable regardless of the humidity. Our house is a historic property built in 1922, which is characteristic of the area. For context, the median construction year for homes in Squirrel Hill South is 1938. We love and take pride in its century-old charm! We are honestly unsure what you are referring to regarding the uncomfortable beds and the floors being sunken and bowed, as this has never been noted by us or any of our previous guests, but we will certainly inspect the house to ensure everything is in top shape. We appreciate your feedback and are glad that, overall, you had a positive experience and a good stay!
