La nostra casa di recente costruzione (2015) ha tutte le comodità, il lusso e il comfort per famiglie o gruppi di amici: fino a 50 persone nel proprio letto!
Per gruppi più piccoli POSSIAMO INOLTRE AFFITTARE SOLO UNA CAMERA DA LETTO. Abbiamo diversi tipi di camere da 2 a 5 persone, fino a 14 persone.
Le 4 camere sono grandi e ben arredate. Cassaforte in ogni stanza.
La casa ha una grande cucina, piscina riscaldata e jacuzzi, una piattaforma con una fantastica vista sulle montagne, piantagioni di caffè e pini, un bar, barbecue, 2 ristoranti esterni, 4 aree di vita.
Ci sono molte attività che ti piaceranno durante il tuo soggiorno: a piedi le cascate all'interno della proprietà attraverso boschi nativi, visita la nostra piantagione di caffè: Finca La Manchuria puoi andare a piedi o a cavallo, o andare in collina e trovarti in cima la Cordigliera delle Ande colombiane!
Uno staff amichevole e amato è in servizio durante il vostro soggiorno. Mario ti assisterà con l'equitazione e ti porterà a scoprire fantastici panorami in cima alle Ande colombiane ad un costo aggiuntivo (15 USD / persona / 2 ore di viaggio)
Offriamo anche gite in jeep in montagna
Per arrivare alla finca devi avere un'auto 4x4 WD per arrivare a Finca El Diamante!
Tuttavia queste sono le altre opzioni:
-Siamo in grado di organizzare il trasporto da Medellin a Finca El Diamante con un autista privato.
- Puoi viaggiare al villaggio di Salgar con la tua auto, parcheggiare la tua auto in sicurezza vicino al villaggio e faremo in modo di portarti in finca in auto privata
- Viaggia in autobus dal Terminal Sur di Medellin al villaggio di Salgar (20.000 COP / persona circa) e ti verremo a prendere al villaggio per portarti in finca in auto privata
La casa principale è a 1600 m di altitudine, calda di giorno (24-28 ° C) fresca di notte (15-20 ° C). Alcuni giorni ti sveglierai tra le nuvole, ma in genere il sole esce molto velocemente!

Nirvana in the mountains
We stayed in El Diamante for our Easter break. The farm is off the (accessible) beaten track in the Mountains of Antioquia 20 minutes from Salgar City. After our journey from Medellin we arrived to a wonderful reception of fresh lemonade and a tour of the property.
This is a beautifully designed farm in keeping with the traditional style of the region but with modern facilities. The bedrooms are comfortable with a variety of rooms that are perfect for a variety of different guests or occasions. Our room was of an ample size with a lovely big bed and plenty of space for the kids as well. The bathroom was modern with a great rain style shower with plenty of hot water for the whole family. The beds were arranged and cleaned on a daily basis. There was a safe in the room, but we never felt it was necessary to use. We always felt safe whilst at the farm and had entire confidence in the staff employed.
Each morning I really enjoyed waking early and walking for a couple of hours in the mountains after which I would return to a bountiful breakfast including free-range eggs and home grown fruit from the farm. In the afternoon we enjoyed horse-riding with the stable manager who was very professional and always there to ensure the not so confident rider was safe and in control.
The children used the pool each day, it was very well maintained with a beautiful view over the mountains. In the evening the jacuzzi was a welcome wind down to the activities we enjoyed during the day.
All of the staff were very attentive and really we wanted for nothing. We rarely needed to ask for anything to be done as if they already knew what was needed. They were all very courteous and they really took care of the property as if it were there own. They were very family friendly and respected our privacy throughout the week. The food provided through the week was of the highest quality and at no point was the menu repeated.
For me, the beauty of this place is it's tranquility and the feeling of peacefulness. There is nature all around with beautiful flora and fauna that I have never experienced anywhere else in the world. Drinking a coffee in the morning in the serenity that envelopes you whilst looking out onto the vast mountains of where that coffee was born makes it that little bit more satisfying. Or taking a siesta in a hammock on the balcony after an exhilarating horse ride adventure is second to none! My time was priceless, Nirvana in the mountains!

AMAZING
Nous avons passé 3 jours à La Fianca "el diamante" en janvier 2017 :c' est un petit joyau niché au cœur des plantations de café accrochées à la montagne : la vue est à couper le souffle !
a seulement 2h45 en bus de Medellin, nous voici au calme, dans un paysage enchanteur: les chambres sont magnifiques et la Finca exceptionnelle
L'accueil de nos hôtes est plus que chaleureux et l'ensemble du personnel est d'une extrème gentillesse ... et a beaucoup de patience ! notamment avec moi , pas du tout rassurée pour les balades à cheval ( à faire ! c'est trop beau )
Nos hôtes nous ont également indiqué les choses à voir aux alentours, notamment le petit village de Jardin, avec ses belles maisons très colorées
Beaucoup moins touristique que la classique région du café de Salento, donc beaucoup plus authentique, nous vous recommandons mon mari et moi vivement cette adresse dans l'autre "région du café " : elle reste un de nos plus beaux souvenirs du mois que nous avons passé en Colombie

FROM FAMILY FARM TO FEEL FAMILIAR IN A HOTEL BOUTIQUE IN THE ANDES CORDILLERA!
To tell the story of Finca El Diamante, La Manchuria, La Oliva, La Gloria and La Humareda is to talk about the life of the Vélez family, a large family of fifteen uncles and more than 60 cousins.
In the 1950s, our grandfather Roberto Velez V. conquered these lands with his children and his family, and covered with coffee the fields and mountains of the hamlet "La Humareda". Since then, our family has always maintained a commercial and agricultural activity in the region, but only Finca el Diamante, La Manchuria, La Oliva and La Gloria have remained in the hands of the Vélez family.
Roberto Velez's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren remember growing up waiting for weekends and holidays to climb the mountain, play in coffee plantations and with animals. These were happy days among the mules, the coffee plantations, the Christmas donuts and the simple moments with the family.
But as in every story, there is always a villain, as well as many Colombian families victims of violence, we had to abandon these lands in the 90s. This plague, called terrorism, insecurity and fear, has emerged and grown up in Colombia. The mountain then buried El Diamante and hid this jewel under the bush.10 years later, the most daring and visionary of the family recovered the land and made their way through the undergrowth to find what was once the El Diamante. With the idea of reviving our land, we planted more than 100 hectares of pine trees. Thus, the pines gave another face to the mountain and created an atmosphere of peace.
On the back of the mules, we mounted the materials to rebuild the old house which had disappeared under the weeds to make an exact replica of the house that once hosted our grandparents. The result was a mixture of emotions between melancholy and joy.

The house then became an imposing hacienda, beautiful and powerful, ready to share its dazzling views with its visitors.
Finca El Diamante then turned into a paradise to be discovered, in the middle of the mountains of Salgar, a place worthy of the magical realism of the texts of Gabriel García Márquez. Honoring his name, this diamond was then reborn after forced abandonment, violence and solitude, to become a precious stone, a treasure to discover, in a peaceful territory.
With the peace returned to the region, many travelers from around the world began to appear and discover a different country to the negative prejudices they had until then. Our visitors fell in love with our land and the warmth of its inhabitants. Finca el Diamante was quickly transformed as a comfortable hotel of charm, to warmly welcome anyone who wishes to live an unforgettable stay in the middle of the Colombian Andes.
We are focusing on helping our community of Salgar, and in particular the one of the hamlet of "La Humareda", by providing them with fair work, education and training in the agrotourism sector. In particular by helping young people and children to benefit from a good education.
With the purchase of farms La Manchuria, La Oliva and La Gloria, former properties of the Velez family, and with visits from friends and family from abroad, the idea of developing a tourist complex is slowly emerging

Thes farms are now part of a major project that Armelle and Eduardo Velez develop and include:
- The development of a luxury tourist resort totally absent from the region.
- To make agreements with other municipalities of South West Antioquia to contribute to the creation and development of the "Coffee Route" in the region.
- The development of our own coffee brand to be marketed nationally and internationally - La Manchuria (created in 2019)
- Renovation and improvement of the century-old facilities of La Manchuria farm house and its tourist adaptation in a Lodge (opened at the end of 2019).
- The construction of dormitories for more than 250 workers, which can be transformed outside the coffee harvest season into school camps or for business integration or linguistic stays.
- Adaptation of a helicopter-landing zone. ( done in 2019)
- The construction of more than 18 kilometers of private internal roads between coffee plantations, forests and reforestation, for better communication not only for our visitors but also and especially for our neighbors and residents of our community to be closer to hospitals, educational and administrative centers.- New and modern coffee plantations, able to process 400,000 kilos of coffee per season, including its wastewater treatment plants.
- After the reforestation of El Diamante, our watersheds have increased, and we plan to launch the bottling of water from our own sources.
- In order to take advantage of the elevation differential on our property (700 meters of elevation gain), we also plan to be able to develop hydropower generation and at least be self-sufficient.
- The development of a luxury tourist resort totally absent from the region.
