Alexandra, we’re glad you found the home clean, as advertised, and our team responsive. The pool and hot tub are routinely serviced, and the hot tub was serviced with its chemical levels checked before your arrival. Low chlorine levels would not cause the type of discoloration described. Different fabrics, dyes, metals, and other materials can react differently to heat and normal pool chemicals. As a general precaution, jewelry is best removed before entering any hot tub because certain metals and finishes may be affected. There was no indication that the hot tub was improperly maintained or unsafe, and nothing our team could have reasonably done to predict or prevent these material reactions. For that reason, reimbursement for the personal items was not provided. We’re glad the remainder of your stay was enjoyable and appreciate you sharing your feedback.
