We were six adults and two kids, and the house fit us easily. The host left a great collection of board games and card games, which kept the kids happily busy every evening while the grown-ups cooked and talked. The big TV came in handy for a movie night after our longest hike.Comfortable beds, clean linens, and space to spread out meant everyone actually slept well, which is the secret to a happy family trip. It's also pet-friendly, so our dog came along and loved exploring the yard.This was our first big family trip together, and the house played a big part in making it a success. We would book it again in a heartbeat.

Restaurants near the park are limited and get busy, so we planned to cook most of our meals, and this kitchen made that a pleasure. It has good-quality appliances, plenty of pots, pans and knives, enough plates for a crowd, and a coffee maker that got heavy use. What surprised us was the pantry: a real spice collection, including Indian masalas, so we didn't have to pack our own.We stopped at the big grocery store in town on the way in and made a proper dinner the first night. Then we fired up the BBQ on the deck the next evening. Cooking together became one of the highlights of the trip.If you're a family that likes to eat in, you'll feel right at home here.

We wanted to visit Yosemite without the crowds and prices inside the park, and this location was exactly right. You're about 15 minutes from downtown Mariposa for groceries and dinner, about an hour to the Arch Rock entrance, and about an hour and twenty minutes to the other entrances, with Oakhurst a short drive away for more food options.Our routine: leave early, beat the lines at the gate, spend the day hiking, then drive back to a neighborhood so quiet you can hear the wind. Coming home to calm after a day of crowds made the whole trip feel more like a vacation.Tip: Get to the park entrance by 7 a.m. on weekends. We waited only 30 minutes.

We came for Yosemite, but some of our favorite moments happened right in the backyard. After the sun went down, the sky over Mariposa filled with more stars than any of us had ever seen. By the second night we had pulled the chairs off the deck, turned off every light in the house, and spent an hour picking out the Milky Way and counting shooting stars. For a group of city dwellers, it was unforgettable.Mornings were just as good. Coffee on the deck with the granite hills turning gold was the calm before each big day in the park. The backyard is private and quiet. The only sounds were birds and the breeze.

A perfect base for exploring Mariposa and YosemiteWe had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property and would happily come back. The home is even lovelier in person than in the photos. It's peaceful, thoughtfully decorated, and has plenty of space to relax after a long day out.It was spotless when we arrived. Everything from the bathrooms to the linens was fresh and clean, and you can tell the hosts take real pride in the place.The kitchen was a highlight for us. It's fully equipped with good cookware, utensils, spices, and appliances, so cooking our own meals was easy. That's a big plus in the area, since dining options are limited and you'll save a lot by eating in.The location is fantastic. It's close to downtown Mariposa for groceries and restaurants, and an easy drive to Yosemite, so we got into the park early and beat the crowds.

We started planning for 11 people and ended up at 13 after a nephew and a niece decided last minute to join. Lomesh handled both reservation changes quickly and without any fuss, which took a lot of stress off me as the organizer.The layout is what makes this house work for a crowd. The bedrooms are spread out, the living and dining areas can seat everyone at once, and there are extra mattresses for the overflow. Honestly, you would never know 13 people were under one roof. Breakfast together, then everyone found their own corner to read, nap, or play games.If you're organizing a family reunion or a friends' trip to Yosemite, this is the rare place that keeps everyone together without anyone feeling cramped.

Lomesh was one of the best hosts we've had. Before we arrived he sent clear instructions, including the important reminder to save them offline because of limited cell service near the house. Check-in was seamless. During our stay he checked in once to make sure we had everything, and when we asked a question about the drive into the park, he answered within minutes.The house showed the same care: thoughtful touches, a well-equipped kitchen, extra blankets, and everything exactly as shown in the listing. You can tell the host genuinely cares about guests having a great trip.Good hosting is often invisible. You just notice that everything works. That was our experience here.

Starlink internet was fast and reliable, perfect for streaming on the TV in the evenings. The dedicated office table was a thoughtful touch that made it easy to get some work done without feeling cooped up.Comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped, this home made our Mariposa trip truly memorable. The property was roomy and had a large gathering area with a big table, large TV and big sofa.The beds were comfortable. Some of the dishes were chipped. The location is remote and quiet. We did not understand until reading another review about two days before arrival that there would be a 75/night fee to unlock the fourth bedroom for a group our size(7). When we arrived about 5 pm all of the bath towels were under the sinks and were WET. There was a washer and dryer which we used to clean and dry the towels. The host communicated frequently.

We'd like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our pricing is occupancy-based, and the 4th bedroom is offered complimentary for larger parties — this was confirmed with guest before check-in. When concerns about cleanliness and towels came up, we sent our cleaner over immediately; she inspected the home thoroughly and found no issues. We take every guest concern seriously and act on it right away.

The house was very big a spacious, however the bathe rooms were not cleaned properly, the sofa had candy nerds all over the cushions, the lawn, brush. Bushes and weeds were over grown all over the property. I did take photos and send to the property manager the owner messaged me to let me know the price reflected the property he did offer to send a cleaning crew (like that’s what we wanted at check in) we cleaned it ourselves. Note if you want the whole house you must pay for 11 people I booked the house with 9 people and got locked out of one bedroom had to pay an extra $$ to get access to it. I think the owner should have given us access to that room considering the cleaning we had to do. I’m sure his cleaning crew would have charged more. Property is very quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway if you don’t mind doing some cleaning. The owner did offer to give us a one day refund if we wanted to check out, we were vendors up for the butterfly festival and the whole town was booked so that wasn’t an option
