Ballroom by the Bay - In the Heart of Belfast!
Welcome to the Ballroom by the Bay, located in Phoenix Row, in the heart of downtown Belfast! This newly offered apartment overlooks the bay, but is easily accessible right off of the sidewalk. Most uniquely, this space has a large ballroom that has been converted into a game/lounging room and bar! With newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen, guests can enjoy modern amenities with classic Maine charm. Come and enjoy this comfortable space and prepare to enjoy all the MidCoast has to offer!
Ballroom by the Bay is located on the second and third floors of the 200 year old Phoenix Row; a historic building nestled right in the heart of downtown Belfast. The unique qualities of this apartment are hard to capture in photos and must be seen in person! Please read the full description or feel free to ask any questions.
The apartment is accessed via a street level door and up one flight of stairs. Upon entering you will be greeted by a large entryway that leads to the two main floor bedrooms and bathroom. As you walk down the hallway, the first bedroom you encounter has a queen sized bed as well as a twin bed. This room is great for kids and is right next to the bathroom. The bathroom is unique as it has a "water closet" which contains the toilet, but allows for others to use the sink and tub. This is the only bathroom with a tub. Beyond this area you'll find the largest bedroom with king sized bed, comfortable sitting area with a large couch and gorgeous views of the bay. This bedroom also contains an en suite bathroom that is newly renovated - be one of the first to use the shower!
On the second level there is a gorgeous landing area with beautiful transom windows and a focus on the charming aspects of the apartment. Straight ahead is the open concept dining and living room which also opens to the kitchen. The large windows in this area allow for enjoying coffee and watching the boats sail by. All of the appliances have been updated and the fully stocked kitchen boasts a 6 burner, gas stove top. The desk and private workspace is tucked right off of the kitchen and overlooks the bay. The third bedroom can be found right off of the dining room area. This bedroom contains a queen sized bed, views of the bay and custom built in shelving that is original to the building. Also on this floor you'll find the third full bathroom with a stacked washer and dryer for your use!
The pièce de résistance is a spacious, expansive ballroom that overlooks the sidewalk and downtown Belfast. With high ceilings, pool table and a gorgeous bar, this space is truly the game room of your dreams. There is plenty of seating in this room, tables for games, areas to sit and have a coffee (or wine) and plenty of space for general merriment. There is nothing like this in all of Belfast!
Parking is available on the street (please note the parking restrictions) or there is a public parking lot directly behind Traci's Diner/Rollie's. In the winter please be mindful of parking bans due to snow (we will also inform you of this).
Please note:
-Although alcohol is noted in the photographs, it is not included with this property due to insurance requirements.
-There is a wood burning fire place in the dining room/living room but is not for guest use.
Guests have access to the entire space except for one locked owner's closet. Guests do not have access to the outside space on the second level of the apartment.
I will follow your lead - typically you will not see me unless you need me!
Guests must be able to climb stairs as there is a set of stairs to get up to the apartment and then another set of stairs to access both floors.
