We had an absolutely amazing time at this property! The host was incredibly accommodating, and the house itself was beautiful. You can tell that everything was thoughtfully designed and built with quality—from the comfortable beds to the gorgeous flooring. The lake was fantastic, and the location was perfect, just a short drive from town while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!

The Cullen Lake Lodge was perfect for our family reunion! Our host was very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The cabin had space for everyone and great dining and cooking space for the group. The outdoor gathering spaces were well-equipped and maintained. Use of the side-by-sides helped make lakefront accessible for even the eldest members of our family. Kids loved all the fishing access, the treasure hunt, game room, and tubing on the pontoon.HIGHLY recommend for a group of diverse ages!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! It was the perfect location for our large family gathering with kids, parents, and grandparent. The layout worked exceptionally well for all ages, giving everyone plenty of space to relax, gather, and enjoy time together.The amenities were exactly as described, and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable and accommodated our group perfectly. The property was well-maintained and made hosting a large family easy and enjoyable.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for a large family getaway!

This was a perfect place to stay for our large family gathering! There were plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. Jeff is very responsive to messages and a great host. He really has thought of everything from a treasure hunt to keep the kids busy for a while to having plenty of hooks to hang all our bathroom towels. Hopefully we can find a time to go back again in the near future.

We were so impressed with the host and his beautiful property for our large group. Jeff has thought of everything to make our stay memorable as we celebrated our son’s wedding as well while there. That beautiful kitchen table was awesome and made it a great platform for some crazy karaoke!! Our weather was very cooperative and we enjoyed the evening making s’mores around the fabulous firepit! Fishing off the dock and tubing behind the pontoon was highlight for all kids!Morning coffee tasted so good while on the deck listening to to the loons chatter. Thanks again for thinking of everything that made our trip so enjoyable by all!

Our large group was more than comfortable and pleased with the property! The host was so kind, gracious and easy to work with; very responsive to questions etc.It's a spacious home with lots of unique spaces and enough bathrooms to make everyone happy. Beautiful kitchen and more than enough dining space. Lots of nice touches including a scavenger hunt for the kids.The lake is smaller & quiet with good quality water and sand bottom. Because of lily pads and reeds, most of the swimming & fishing was off the dock and the floating swim dock. This was not an issue for us, at all. The beach area offers kayaks. It is a bit of a steep jaunt to the lake, but no one struggled. Fortunate to have the ability to rent the host's large & luxurious pontoon with two tubes. NO regrets with this rental - surpassed our expectations.

We stayed at the house for 5 days the end of July. Jeff always responded right away to all messages. The house was so well supplied with everything! I feel there were more amenities than what were listed. There is so much room to spread out. There is a pretty good hill from the house to the lake. The family had so much fun fishing, caught a lot of crappie and a few bass. We played some very competitive volleyball!! The kids commented on how nice the sand was and...there are even sprinklers to water down the sand :) The grandchildren had fun doing the "Treasure Hunt" they had made up in the house, is was worth finding the treasure :). We had some competitive ping pong and shuffleboard games in the evenings. Mosquitos were never a problem at all. All in all we had a very fun week!! The Van Beeks

The lake home is HUGE and wide open. Great for large groups (guys golf trips, family reunions, work trips, etc). Place is clean and has higher end finishes. The pontoon is big and well worth the rental. Beautiful views of the sunset either on the deck or pontoon. Highly recommend!!!

Hard to find a better place to stay with a big group! The pictures don’t do it justice - there was way more room in common areas (kitchen, living room, basement) than we expected and all bedrooms were spacious. Couches everywhere too. Jeff was an awesome host too! He responded promptly to any questions we had leading up to our stay and while we were there. He even stocked fridges with water near bedrooms - which was clutch after hours playing volleyball and hanging out on the lake.Highly recommend both Jeff and this property.

We always feel we do a lot of research and have very high expectations and this house exceeded all and more! As you come down the driveway and this place appears starts your family’s excitement off right!!! The hosts make you feel comfortable from the start with all of the well thought out details like well stocked coffee bar, all you need from home kitchen tools and fully stocked water bottles in the multiple beverage fridges throughout the home. We were fortunate to have amazing weather to get out on the lake and play volleyball on their sand court but also found the shuffleboard and arcade games in the basement come in handy in the morning and night when we weren’t outside. Thank you hosts for making our family gathering a great success!!! Cheers

An Unforgettable Memorial Day at the Lake House

We recently spent Memorial Day weekend at a fantastic lake house with our extended family, and it was perfect! There were plenty of rooms for all the adults, plus a bonus room packed with beds and bunk beds that the kids absolutely loved. The huge kitchen with its beautiful island was ideal for gathering and chatting, and a cozy spot with a wood-burning stove off the kitchen offered another great conversation area. We enjoyed meals around the large dining table, and the spacious living room with a big TV was perfect for relaxing.Downstairs was a hub of fun, with endless shuffleboard competitions and exciting ping-pong battles. Just outside the basement, a large seating area and fire pit (with tons of wood!) were perfect for evening gatherings. We rented the largest pontoon boat imaginable, perfect for cruising and fishing—we even caught some northern pike! The kids had a blast tubing, and they loved being able to hop into the sauna to warm up afterward. The only downside? The house was so big I didn't even see all the rooms until the last day! We can't wait to go back. I'd love to do a friends trip here too with shops and restaurants not far away.

This is a great place to stay for a large group. Plenty of beds, common spaces, couches. Great yard with lake access. Jeff was incredibly accommodating and promptly responded to any messages we sent. The only concern is that the property is near a campground with quiet hours starting after 10 pm. It can make it a bit difficult to stay outside by the fire with big groups at night. Otherwise a great experience.

Welcome! When my wife and 2 kids can get away from our hectic Maple Grove lifestyle we love to get away with friends and family in large groups. As we traveled MN we really wanted to find an opportunity near Nisswa. After 2 years and several disappointing locations we found that opportunity on Cullen Lake. A lot of hard work and imagination helped build a lake home that is now the main stay for our friends/family. But we also love sharing it with others! We tried to pull in all the small details from VRBOs we've rented in the past and hope you enjoy both the big and small details of Cullen Lake Lodge!
