Newly renovated and thoughtfully designed, the house features individual heating and air conditioning in each room, blackout curtains for a restful night’s sleep, free Wi-Fi, an iron, hair dryers, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish retreat. Hike to the top of the mountain to enjoy beautiful views, or stay cozied up inside and watch TV. Here, you can enjoy the comforts of civilization while being just steps away from the wilderness.

Perfect for wedding guests, the home is conveniently located near Twenty Mile House (0.8 mile, 2-minute drive) and Kinship Ranch (0.4 mile, 1-minute drive).

Verizon service has excellent reception here. Guests using other carriers may have limited cellular service and should plan to use their phone’s Wi-Fi calling feature.

As much as I wanted to give this a 5 star rating, I just can't. I'll start with the inside which was super clean and very nice and enjoyed that, except for the kithen trash which had a dirty and broken diner plate with food still on it. The wrap around porch is super sketchy with boards lifting as you walk across, I know it's in the forest but the amount of pine needles on the porch indicated it hadn't been clean for quite awhile it was fairly slippery walking especially at night. It indicates an iron is provided, as we came in from out of town for a wedding and really needed an iron after clothes had been packed for travel. It was completely unusable, lucky in our search for a dry cleaners in the town of Quincy we found a thrift store and purchased a usable iron. Problem solved. If you want a really rustic place without too many amenities this is the place for you... it was beautiful and quiet it did the job mostly, which usually really works for me but missed the mark for a wedding stay.

Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. The broken plate mentioned in the review was actually a clean plate that I found in the cupboard before check-in and threw away because I noticed it had a chip. There was no food on it. In retrospect, I should have put it in my car instead of the garbage can. The decks were personally blown and cleared of leaves exactly five days before this stay, and there were no loose or lifting boards. Because the property is surrounded by trees, leaves can accumulate again within hours, which is unfortunately unavoidable. There are no pine needles, and there had been no rain or other moisture to make the deck slippery. An iron is provided, and we were not aware of any issue with it. The guest did not contact us at any point during the stay about the iron or any of the other concerns mentioned in this review. Had we known there was a problem with the iron, we would have gladly brought a replacement. We’re pleased that the guest found the home super clean, very nice, beautiful, and quiet, and only wish we had been given the opportunity to address any concerns during the stay.
