Benvenuto in KATAMA!

L'aria condizionata in questa casa meticolosamente mantenuta dovrebbe rendere piacevole la vostra visita durante il periodo umido o le calde notti d'agosto! Ma ciò che ti renderà felice durante la tua visita è la posizione delle case - vicino alla spiaggia più bella ed emozionante dell'isola e la sua posizione comoda, posizione tranquilla dove non è raro vedere gli abitanti della natura - un cervo, un coniglio, uccelli e anatre di tutte le varietà visita il nostro ampio giardino. E tu guardi questo dal tuo posatoio sul grande mazzo!

La nostra casa si trova su un'isola a sé stante - nella tanto ambita zona di Edgartown chiamata KATAMA - incastonata tra Herring Creek e Katama Roads ed è circondata dalla straordinaria pista ciclabile della MV che può portarti a South Beach, al villaggio di Edgartown o oltre ! Protected Open Space è a pochi minuti a piedi. The Village è una passeggiata facile dove troverai divertimenti, ristoranti, pesca e accesso a Chappy!

South Beach è solo un po 'più di un giro in bicicletta due miglia di distanza, e l'aeroporto Katama, Katama Store e Destra Fork Diner una bella passeggiata dalla casa. Il nostro grande ponte e cortile espansiva è perfetto per grigliate e giochi da giardino! Una griglia a gas Weber e un tavolo da picnic completano lo spazio di vita all'aperto insieme a sedie da giardino e un'amaca.

La nostra cucina è ben attrezzata per il cuoco più esigente. Trova di tutto, dalle normali tazze, piatti e utensili di tutti i giorni a un frullatore, un tritacarne, un piatto di aragosta! Un nuovo tavolo in noce che può ospitare comodamente 8-10 persone.

Ciascuno dei tre bagni è stato aggiornato e non vorrai mai asciugamani o lenzuola, che sono tutti sul posto. Le quattro camere da letto (2 in basso - MBR e bagno con letto queen size e seconda camera da letto (uso della sala da bagno) ha 2 letti singoli, al piano superiore 2 camere da letto: una regina (con Apple TV, finestra e lucernario) e, una seconda camera da letto con 2 doppie e un letto matrimoniale sono arredate con gusto.

L'intero primo piano è in legno massiccio, tranne i bagni, che sono piastrellati. Le camere da letto al secondo piano sono tappezzate in un tappeto berbero da muro a muro e pulite ogni anno.

La casa è mantenuta come un ambiente privo di fumo per animali domestici.

Ci delizia nel prendere lunghe passeggiate, andare in bicicletta lungo il percorso verso la Morning Glory Farm per muffin del mattino e torte tardive giorno per deserto della serata, tennis al Boys and Girls Club o palestra giungla della scuola e play-cantiere con i bambini e gli amici dei nostri figli . Il museo della stazione dei pompieri di Edgartown delizia tutto e il museo marittimo si trova in un grazioso quartiere del villaggio. C'è vela e nuoto, giardini e spiagge, musei e negozi a bizzeffe. E tutto questo è solo un miglio dal tuo ritiro estivo.

Living Space: Open space concept in cui soggiorno cucina e sala da pranzo sono tutti uno. Il soggiorno dispone di una grande TV a schermo piatto con cavo, Netflix e Amazon. Il cavo è premium e il sistema internet è ad alta velocità.

Camere da letto: un maestro con letto matrimoniale e bagno completo (doccia) a sud con grande finestra orientale, slider e ponte collegato con vista sul cortile; e una seconda camera da letto esposta a nord con grande banca di finestre, finestra orientata verso est e 2 letti gemelli.

I have stayed at many rentals over the years, and Mary Jane was by far the best host I have ever experienced. She went above and beyond in every way and maintained great communication throughout our entire trip.This was our first time visiting Martha’s Vineyard, and we truly could not have done it without Mary Jane’s help, recommendations, and local knowledge. Her suggestions made our trip so much more enjoyable and helped us experience the island like locals. She made us feel welcome from the moment we booked, and her hospitality was exceptional. I highly recommend staying here!

Great Off Season Stay

MJ's home is fabulous! A mile from Edgartown, on a quiet road, fully equipped kitchen, baths, outdoor shower, beach chairs, towels, games,spacious, comfortable, spotless etc. The pickleball court was a bonus too! Had a ball. Girls weekend for our 21st annual MS Ride The Vineyard. Loved every minute and we are booked for a week next May! Not a detail missed. Thank you, MJ for your sharing your slice of heaven on MV!!! Highly recommend this property. MJ is the BEST!!!

Phenomenal location and home

Truly the best of all worlds, a short trip into town (very walkable) and a quick drive or bike to the beach! Home was spacious and well-appointed and the pickleball court was a blast. Owner was a dream to liaise with!

Awesome Home and Host

This was a great rental - highly recommend. Beautiful and well appointed home. Location is a short 10-min bike to town or a very short drive.

Perfect location, clean

Very clean, bright, and airy home. Convenient to shopping and Katama beach. The pickleball court was a bonus. We all enjoyed playing.

Wonderful MV Experience!

This was the perfect location to stay in Martha's Vinyard! We all brought bikes and biked into Edgartown and the surrounding area nearly every day. Additionally, the pickle ball court was perfect entertainment after a long day at the beach. The host was wonderful and overall this was an amazing vacation and home for an active family!

Great property. Well appointed and comfortable. Great location. Close enough to bike, take a long walk, or short Uber ride into Edgartown but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pickleball court. Ms. Mary is the best! So helpful and hospitable.

Christmas in Edgartown

Another great stay at this amazing home. Perfect location, perfect size for our family and well appointed home! The weather was spectacular which made the long weekend even better! Thank you for a great stay! This home is a short walk to the center of Edgartown and has all the amenities and a beautiful deck and outdoor space. So clean on the inside and a great open floor plan. We will be back!

This house and Mary the host exceeded our expectations. It’s a great location, roomy, comfortable, clean and providd every necessity. Mary answered me quickly with any questions I had. We will be coming back

Great location!

Close to Edgartown and easy ride to Katama/South Beach. Easy to visit other towns, but liked Edgartown the best. House was fine; AC was excellent; gas grill worked great; kitchen fully stocked (except need a few more larger coffee mugs!). Very quiet…no traffic noise at all!!Pickle ball court was a nice addition in the large flat backyard. Provided two bikes and beach chairs, and skim boards. Owner was very responsive and friendly.

Worked with us

Lovely home and great hostess. We had to change our plans because of the hurricane and our hostess was so willing to help. We ended up arriving a day early and she worked to make that happen for us.

The perfect vacation!

We had a wonderful time on MV and staying in this property. The weather was spectacular. The amenities were great. The kids loved the pickle ball court; my husband could play his guitar on the back porch; many of us enjoyed the hammock and outdoor shower. The inside is very clean and the open concept works well for entertaining. We also appreciated the finished basement with the television as the kids could be doing their own thing away from adults. Would highly recommend!

Perfect spot

On island for a family wedding. We were perfectly situated to attend the welcome bbq and then the ceremony in Aquinnah. Mary Jane was prompt on any questions and very welcoming and we appreciate her hospitality. A well stocked kitchen for those who plan to cook their own meals. Thanks again Mary Jane.

Best Rental Evah!

I have stayed here several times...perfectly clean, very comfortable and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Charming ,contemporary cottage look with great mattresses on the beds for a good nights sleep and the location can't be beat. Just a mile walk into Edgartown or a bike ride to South Beach you have access to shops, entertainment and fabulous dining options. Deck is spacious and equipped for grilling up dinner and eating outdoors, with the addition of a large grassy yard some touch football or tag will keep the kids happy. Just love this place!

We are actively engaged in real estate. We live off island but visit regularly both on and off season. We have three children and seven grandchildren. This is the second home we have purchased and renovated on Martha's Vineyard, a destination we fell in love with in the early 90's. We return whenever we can and are continuing to invest in this property we have come to cherish. It is meticulously maintained and we have on island caretakers who react quickly to any problem or emergency. Now that our children are married and have started families we are establishing new traditions that include their in-laws and extended family. We had the most endearing and wonderful events there! And we have cherished guests who return year after year.

We were looking for a larger property closer to the beach and one that was in need of updating. All but one room in this house was taken down to the studs and renovated. We built a guest house several years ago and rent it as well. There is a privacy fence and exclusive driveway and parking. Katama represents one of the most attractive areas on the Island and affords easy access to town and the Island's best beach. A short walk toward the beach brings you to the Katama airport restaurant, which is GREAT for breakfast, lunch and dinner too! We also love to ride our bikes along the bike path - either to South Beach or into Edgartown.

Since we completely renovated the house in anticipation of our daughter's wedding, we were able to add all the things we liked in our first home or those that were missing such as a large porch! We like to sail, walk and ride bikes. This location affords easy access to both the Villiage and entertainment, as well as relaxation both at home and at the beach. It is quieter than living in town, but has the benefit of the Katama General Store and Katama Kitchen Resturant - both within walking distance, scenery, the bike path and a private dirt road, wonderful year-round neighbors and a comfortable deck.
