Misleading Listing: Basement of Host’s Home, Not a Cottage This property is NOT a private cottage as described. It is the basement of the host’s primary residence, connected by stairs to the family’s upstairs area. The hosts were home throughout our stay, and we shared their driveway. None of this was mentioned in the listing or shown in the photos. When I arrived, I told the host I was surprised that the “cottage” was actually her basement. She admitted, “There are a lot of moving parts.” We felt uncomfortable and left after one night and scrambled to book a hotel for the second night. I reached out to the host for a refund for the second night since she misled us and she did not respond. BUYER BEWARE: Future guests deserve to know this is an attached, owner-occupied space, not an independent rental.

Great spot!!

We had a great experience! House was clean and beds were super comfortable. Communication with the host was very smooth and easy.
