Great beach vacation home! The location was ideal and the house was exceptionally clean. We will return! Lots of stair climbing though - main living areas is on third level with no elevator. Wasn't a problem for our group but could be if anyone has difficulty with stairs.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently just came from our stay at the Salty Mermaid, and it was amazing! Great communication from the host! Clean and hugeeeeee place! My friends and I agreed to stay here every trip in the future!

We’ve stayed in MANY huge beach houses over the years. This one had a most interesting layout. It was almost like a boarding house. Rooms were tucked away off the main stairs all the way up to the 4th floor. The kitchen was on the third floor with a living room. The dining tables were adjacent, but like in an enclosed porch. The biggest family room was the pool which was fine with us. Our multigenerational family gathering benefitted from options for privacy. The house was meticulously maintained with a special shout out to the comfort of the beds and all the bedding. Really lovely. Contact with the management team was through a text thread which was very handy. Proximity to the beach was perfect. If you are counting on a 6BR home, be sure to bring air mattresses for the top floor family room. The sofa bed is not comfortable. While this space had the BEST view ever AND an extra fridge, the bedding situation was not ideal. Luckily we came prepared. Grocery stores are very close. We really enjoyed our week!

Fantastic Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Salty Mermaid was a great vacation home for our group of 14. The bunk beds were perfect. Even though our kids are older this room worked great for all of them to sleep. The view from the top deck is outstanding. The room off the kitchen was very convenient for a lot of people to sit and eat. The house was very clean. The location made it very easy to get to the beach and to walk to the restaurants. The only slight negative is the stairs are a little tough if you are on the top floor. We would definitely recommend this home.
