First, the pros: the property is in a prime location, just a few blocks from the boardwalk and beach. It had garage parking and parking for 2 spots which is hard to find that close to the beach! The kitchen was equipped with all necessary utensils. The condo was on the second floor and had high ceilings and felt very roomy. The air conditioning worked perfectly. ( we stayed during a very hot week in August.). The pictures in the listing were accurate and represented the rooms well. The deck is nice over busy Rio Grande ave and allows for good people watching with newer Adirondack chairs. However, this place does need some TLC. There was a distinctive mildew smell in all three of the bedrooms, which I’m assuming could be from the carpeting. I did contact the property manager and they sent some air freshener sprays which helped temporarily. Also, the mattresses were very uncomfortable in all of the bedrooms. The bunk beds are in need of some repair, in fact, I was a little worried with the kids sleeping on them that they could collapse. The unit is on the second floor, but there’s also a unit on the third floor so we could hear the neighbors walking back-and-forth. Bring a noise machine to help you sleep at night. With some love this place has good potential. A third-party property managing company is whom you will be communicating with but I hope the owners can do some necessary repairs and updates to make it a 5 star rental.
