Beautiful stay with amazing views of Arenal Volcano and the lake. We loved the wildlife, especially the variety of birds we saw. Host communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommend.

We stayed for four nights in this beautiful cabin near El Castillo to celebrate our anniversary, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the once-in-a-lifetime view of Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. Waking up to the sounds of toucans in the morning and falling asleep to the soft rhythm of a rainforest rainstorm felt like something out of a dream.The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped — clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. Communication with the host was smooth and helpful from start to finish, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable.The location was perfect: close enough to La Fortuna for day trips, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private escape in the jungle. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate such a special occasion.Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for peace, natural beauty, and a little magic in Costa Rica. We’ll never forget it.

We loved our stay at El Cielo. I cant say enough about the view. It was so special and the view if the lake and Volcano was magical. The hummingbirds were all over the garden area. The monkeys close by in the trees in the early morning. There were horses grazing right in front of the property and it made for a picture perfect scene . The house was full of great jungle color and energy. There was stuff for entertainment in house and house was well stocked. Fresh coffee from local farm for our morning cup (WOW). If you are in need to unwind this is the place. There is no need to go anywhere to get a better view then this . The grounds of the house is full of flowers so lots of butterfly's and birds. El Castillo was a great little town and had great hiking or just a nice walk. We took the horse tour to the waterfall with Lellander the local cowboy that was really a great activity and was worth every minute. Thanks El Cielo for making my Costa Rican vacation memorable!

We had an AMAZING time during our stay at El Cielo. The views from the property are breathtaking. Pictures don't do justice. Everything about our stay was perfect. The home is HUGE. Very spacious- more than enough for our family of 4. Our children had their own bedroom, with beautiful views of the volcano. There was a bathroom right next door. Shower was equipped with shampoo and body wash (all in one).The master suite was the nicest room in the house. It offered a 180 degree view, with glass windows on two sides. We woke up to the view of the volcano every morning and it was simply breathtaking. We felt so connected to nature. We heard the sounds of the birds and all other critters all day and all night. We went the first week of April- weather was beautiful. The ceiling fans kept us very comfortable. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to drive up the mountain. It's a must. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We made omelets, toast and tea every day. No problem finding utensils/pans. Everything was in good condition. We were traveling with kids- ages 7 and 10. They enjoyed the hammocks and views. They did not miss their television or any technology. It's a beautiful home and I would recommend it to anyone staying in the La Fortuna area. We were in close proximity to all activities and excursions. Everything was within a 30-35 minute drive. We kayaked on Lake Arenal, we went to Tabacan Hot Springs for a day. Everything felt close enough.

La mejor vista

La vista era perfecta. Estaba apartado y las estrellas desde la Terraza por la noche eran mágicas. Este es un lugar para relajarse, desconectar y desconectar. No se pierdan el amanecer y el atardecer; el lago y el volcán se iluminan de forma preciosa. La ropa de cama y las camas eran estupendas y acogedoras. Disfrutamos de café recién hecho de la compañía local Monte Verde Coffee, un detalle muy agradable. Sin duda, una estancia inolvidable.
Pude ver el volcán tan grande y buena vista🌺
Desde el balcón disfruté de los animales y la vista que tiene esta linda casa, gracias💐
