We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very comfortable, close to Shipshewana and the other activities we enjoyed during our stay. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunsets & a bonfire.

Wonderful location on the lake. The sunsets were amazing. Cozy home with a fun vibe. We enjoyed our girls weekend here with an easy drive into Shipshewana. The dining table was perfect for games and the kitchen area was useful. Thanks for being a part of our fun getaway

Everything was lovely. The view from the master bedroom is incredible, and the host is super helpful and responds quickly. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I would add is that if you are a family with children, the fact that the kitchen is downstairs and the living space upstairs, makes it hard to supervise kids, and be in the kitchen preparing meals, but the lake access and backyard make the stay very enjoyable.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend! The cottage was clean and so very homey!! The sunset was beautiful and our time sitting at the fire pit was amazing:)

We had a great time at herons perch. It was a girl’s trip and the cottage was adoreable, really clean and very cozy and comfortable.

The cottage was very clean and welcoming!! We got to spend the weekend with our adult kids, and had plenty of sleeping arrangements for everyone. Host was very quick to respond to any questions i had. Hope to go back this summer to enjoy the water and outdoor games!

Great family getaway

Heron's Perch was a great spot for our family reunion. Such a cute, little cottage with something for everyone-games, kayaks, fishing, beautiful sunsets, etc., not to mention close by options in Shipshewana and Middlebury. The owners, who have a seasonal home next door, were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This cozy cottage was PERFECT for our weekend getaway! Everything was wonderful and as described. We enjoyed the cottage, from the cute decor, to the outdoor space, it was just perfect. It was very close to the Pumpkinvine trail, as well as riding the trail into town. We will definitely be back.

I’m gonna be completely honest on my review I would give them as many stars as I could. The host that we had contact with. She was amazing. We did have issues with hot water heater but She found accommodations very quickly was responsive. And Very quickly was very communicative. Really was able to help us still relax, even though there was issues I still would give it a 10 out of 10. Before we left, the issue was fixed. I honestly would recommend this for a relaxing weekend at the lake. It feels like you’re at home not like you’re in an Airbnb or a hotel. Even we had issues she took time out of her personal life to come here and make sure that things could be fixed and I’m super glad that the host that we had was great because we could’ve had a terrible experience with the issues we were having.

The view was great and the house was very nice. Shows as expected. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Housekeeping was not great. The refrigerator and stove needed wiped down and there were underwear found under the bed.
