We rented this property in Galena after my MSN graduation in Chicago, and it was a wonderful place to relax and celebrate with family. The property was clean and in good condition. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and fire pit, but what we appreciated most was the solitude. There were so many lovely spots to find peace and quiet, listen to the rustle of the leaves, and simply enjoy being together. A peaceful, memorable getaway!

Lovely getaway for my family. House is exactly as described. Beautiful views very clean, hot tub was a bonus. We would definitely rent this again. Bedrooms were very spacious. Everything worked as described. Great game room with the pool table. We enjoyed playing many games during the rainy day. Fire pit was a good time as well. I want to build one just like that at my house. Thank you for the great memories!!

Great place to stay with a group! Plenty of space and rooms were perfect with king size beds. I do wish there were more games/kids toys provided.

This was a great spot for our family to get away. We are 5 adults 2 add one now so plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The hot tub and fire pit were also the draw to this home snd they were great. The community pool was a bonus we were not sure we would use but enjoyed that too. Everything we did seemed to be within 5 miles so we did not feel we were too far away from things to do. Hopefully will make it back there next year.

We had 5 ladies for girls weekend. It was a very nice property. It's easy to find even though it's outside town a bit. The hot tub was nice as was the screened porch. It was too warm to use the porch but would be lovely on the fall. The house was very clean and kept well. I reached out the the host prior to the stay and didn't hear back. But when I reached out during the stay they were responsive. No issues. We'd consider returning and possibly staying longer to enjoy more amenities.

the cabin was a great set up for our family of 3 and another couple. Lots of space to move around. We enjoyed the pool table, the in-table TV games and the hot tub. The kitchen had most things we needed to prepare meals. In nicer weather the outdoor firepit area could be fun but Mother Nature was not on our side for this trip.

This house was perfect for us and our adult kids. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and between the family room upstairs and the entertainment space downstairs, plenty of room for all seven of us to spread out and enjoy. Would highly recommend if looking for a place to stay in Galena area.

Our party - sister, brother, and cousin - are in our 70's. On leaving the front porch my sister and cousin fell down the stairs. Luckily, they ended up sitting on one of the steps and were not hurt.A handrail might be helpful for others in the future.

Unit was clean and ok BUT nearly impossible for my handicap with entrances with steep steps and no railings. This should be noted in the listing.

We’re glad you enjoyed the home, as many guests love the location, amenities, and décor. We understand that accessibility and mobility needs are an important consideration when traveling. While our home is not handicap accessible and we do not advertise it as such in the listing, we always encourage guests to carefully review property details and reach out with any questions before booking so we can help ensure the home is the right fit for their needs. Perfect place for the perfect time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bayward Lodge was a great place for our family of six. The grownups and the kids had tons of space to spread out and we had enough room to cook in the well equipped kitchen. The fireplace and fire pit were.excellent for the chilly nights, and so was the hot tub that was checked while were there. It was clean and ready for us right at 4p. The rules were reasonable and they made it easy for us to leave. Sincerely a wonderful stay all around!
