Fantastic stay! While the home is not the most "updated," it was spotlessly clean and staying in a National Registered Historic Place was a highlight of the trip. The layout easily accommodated our group of 9 adults with plenty of space. What surprised us most was the host’s impressively fast communication throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Richard was a very attentive and very accommodating host. We booked this property for its character and charm, and it was perfect!! Our guests loved the space, the pool area, the pool table, and the location.

The house is AMAZING. Enough room for everyone can hang out or hide from everyone! We throughly enjoyed our stay and communication with the owner was great. We reached out for a couple of small things and the items were corrected the same day.With a party of 14, it was great to have everyone under one roof with all the amenities. Wonderful place for a ln extended family vacation.

House has so much history! This house was beautiful inside and out. We used the house for a small wedding of 16 guest, which all stayed in the home. It rained out on us, so we ended up hosting the wedding on the inside and it still did not disappoint.

Richard was incredible and always quick to address any minor issues or needs. The outdoor area, pool house, and pool was perfect for our group of 14 for a bachelor party. Large kitchen and dining area made for great meals. Plenty of beds for everyone to sleep. Some cosmetic issues, but expected for a historical home and didn’t impact our stay in any way. Perfect location. We walked to Hollywood beach everyday and utilized the Circuit rideshare app as well. Hope to get the chance to stay there again.

The mansion is astonishing! The location is magnificent, and Richard, the host, was incredibly accommodating with outstanding communication.We stayed at the house and also filmed a vertical series on the property. It is extremely photogenic and cinematic—I couldn’t have asked for a better location. I will definitely rent it again!

So great. We had a guys’ weekend here, enjoying the property and the sights. Outstanding communication, excellent location, and a truly historic home.It’s well appointed, with plenty of space for our group of 9, each with our own bed, and several with their own bedrooms.The kitchen is large and ready for a group to cook. The pool area is the perfect place to lounge. Truly a five star experience. Close enough for a quick walk to the beach, and enough space to just hang out at the property. Richard is very hospitable and when we believed one of us left an item behind, he was more than willing to go the extra mile and mail it back. Reasonable check in and check out times, and the cleaning fee is fair due to the size of the property. A storm had dumped a lot of water in the pool upon our arrival and Richard was communicative about that and had someone there at the first opportunity.5 stars. Will stay here again!

Our stay at the Young Mansion was truly unforgettable! The house itself is one of a kind full of character, charm, and history that made the experience feel so unique compared to a typical rental. We hosted a 50th birthday party here, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. From the beautiful architecture to the spacious layout, every detail of the mansion made the celebration special and memorable for everyone who attended.On top of that, the host was excellent and very communicative, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. If you’re looking for a property that offers both a stunning setting and an extraordinary experience, the Young Mansion is it. We’ll be talking about this trip for years to come!

Incredible historic home with plenty of space and character. It’s newly listed and in need of several renovations for furniture, bathrooms, and fridges, but in my opinion the unique architecture and location make it more than worth it. Highlights were the pool table being placed in such a cool central area, the dining room with amazing chairs and table, and the beautiful pool with a covered area in case it rains. The lows of the property are the kitchen which has a large fridge out of service and the dated bathrooms and furniture in some areas, so if you prefer a modern, clean look and have no care for the architecture I would not recommend this over other properties.We threw my wedding shower here for 60 and it was perfect with over 20 sleeping overnight comfortably.

You forgot to mention the back up refrigerator in the house and the other refrigerator we have at the cabana for guests. The house has plenty of refrigeration and freezer capacity, We hope to host you all again sometime.

This was perfect for our annual Aug Bday bash with family. Knowing that it is a Historical Home will help with expectations of age of the home and we enjoyed that the owners kept that vibe. Yes, there could be some upgrades but, for our group, that was part of the charm and the experience. Had great communication before/during/after the stay.Pros: Lots of room for privacy yet areas for group time (we really enjoyed the large dining table) - location is ideal; between beach and downtown - kitchen had everything you needed for meals (although we were not aware that the working 1/2 of the freezer, in the kitchen, was actually a freezer so we froze all our food, lol) - Pool/bbq area is awesome. Yard areas very relaxing. Pool and ping-pong tables a plus. Cons: 1st upstairs bathroom could use some upgrading (bathtub not working condition/shower has non-working nozzles that just take up shower space) - a bit musty for those with allergies (again, it is part of the charm, just saying...) - staircase & railing could be secured (no sneaking downstairs) - one of the TVs had issues connecting to the weak internet - a bit too easy to NOT leave the house so didn't see as much of Hollywood as planned :)We all would stay again!

The Mansion has tons of history and character. The location is fantastic! It is a very large place with lots of comfortable beds to accommodate the 17 of us. The outside is gorgeous, however, the pool was low and not cleaning itself correctly when we were there and it was a bit cold to swim. All the restrooms except the master are in need of repair in some form. The walls could use a scrub and some fresh paint. There were only 3 hand towels for the kitchen. There is a damp smell to the house but it is an OLD place and since windows have to be kept closed it makes sense. There is something wrong with the dryer. The huge main refrigerator and wine fridge DO NOT work. The other fridge works fine but the fridge in the cabana is not cold enough for food -ok for drinks. For the amount of people the house holds it should have another or a bigger refrigerator. The cabana has a strong mold/mildew smell that is a little overwhelming. The owner is very nice and responsive. He was there when we were and was staying on the property. He came in and out of the house a few times only in The laundry room. He did go out and purchase beach chairs which was so nice. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to keep up with the maintenance if this place but the cost to rent it is a little high for the repairs needed. In all….we had a great stay! The pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table were a definite perk!

Thank you for your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations, as it was a pleasure meeting you and hosting your group. The home is a 100-year-old historic property, which is reflected in the listing description. While it is not new construction, all plumbing and systems are fully functional and regularly maintained. Different areas of the house may have natural variations in scent due to original wood floors and furnishings, and we run a whole-home dehumidifier through the AC system to maintain indoor comfort. During your stay, communication was limited to requests for beach chairs and a delivered package. We were happy to purchase new beach chairs immediately and also offered complimentary use of beach cruisers, tennis rackets, and snorkel gear. Had we been notified of any appliance or comfort issues—including the dryer or pool temperature—we would have addressed them right away, as we do have technicians available locally. The pool is maintained at 84°F, which is standard for hotels, though we are always happy to increase the temperature upon request, especially during colder weather. The unexpected cold front and travel issues were certainly unfortunate, and I’m sorry those factors impacted your trip. I do appreciate how respectfully you treated the home and how clean it was left. I enjoyed meeting you and was disappointed to learn afterward that you were unhappy, as I would have welcomed the opportunity to make your stay more enjoyable in real time. Thank you again for staying with us, and I wish you all the best.

Beautiful property with lots to do. Bedrooms, kitchen, and dining room were really really dirty. In kitchen and dining room, the surfaces were sticky and in the bedrooms, there were stains on all of the bedding and lots of bugs in and under the beds. The host was very communicable and friendly. Check in was easy. Said it sleeps 14 and I had 11 people. Not everyone got a bed. Overall had a great time but there were definitely some low points to the property.
