Amazing Vacation!!

Our family of five had an amazing vacation here! Everything you could need is provided and the communication with the concierge and property management team was exceptional! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Kona!

Simply a paradise! We are a party of 5 and we just loved it! The house with perfect equipment in any aspect, the garden, the pool, the quiet atmosphere - we missed absolutely nothing, we are just sad we have to leave!

Excellent Location

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The location is absolutely perfect for touring the Big Island. We felt right at home and were comfortable with entire time. Highly recommend.

Fantastic rental!

We enjoyed this rental very much, one of the cleanest week ever been in. Neighborhood is gorgeous my fabulous landscaping, house is great with an amazing yard and swimming pool. Perfect vacation, would absolutely come back!!!

Very close to everything and a fully stocked house. Easy week with two adults and two teens, pool for when you just need to stay home in the sun. Thank you!

Perfect retreat with spectacular sunset views

The Kamilo House was the perfect accommodation for our family that visited the Big Island. It’s located in a gated community that was so quiet that it felt like we were the only ones there! The property itself was spacious and clean and included everything we could have possibly needed for our stay, and more! Shops and restaurants are just a short drive away, and for the adventurous you can easily walk into town. Mahalo for letting us stay at this wonderful property.

Birthday Getaway

We loved our stay here to celebrate our daughter’s 19th Birthday. House was wonderful - VERY clean and just as described with best stocked kitchen we have had. The back yard/lanai was the best part - already missing our morning coffees and breakfasts out on the lanai. Perfectly located - close enough to Kona but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful quiet. We will definitely be back!

Great location in a very nicely kept up neighborhood. We loved the view of the ocean from the backyard. House, yard and pool were very well maintained and appreciated the energy efficiency usage. Would stay there again if we re-visit Kona again. Mahalo

So clean we thought we are the first to use the property. The ocean view is gorgeous. Large and comfortable for our family of 6 ranging from 5 to 63. The kitchen is stocked well. Even a waffle maker. Lots of supplies. Close to everything. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Kamilo House Vacation

The Kamilo house was perfect for two couples. Our first trip to Hawaii during February so we could see the whales. Most days we could see them from the backyard lawn breaching and spouting just off the coast. Took the dinner cruise one day and saw humpback and pilot whales along with many dolphins. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Our own private resort

I can't say enough good things about this home. The backyard makes you feel like you are at your very own resort. You can watch both the sunrise & sunset from the lounge chairs by the pool. We enjoyed the sunshine from sunup to sundown. The home is VERY clean & comfortable. We loved watching the geckos & listening to the birds in the private tropical setting. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful home.

A great time with the family

The house and property were outstanding. We especially enjoyed eating outside and watching the sun set over the swimming pool and palm trees. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils. The heater for the "plunge pool" didn't perform as it should, but was replaced in a timely manner. All in all, highly recommended and would go back in a heart beat.

Beautiful Property and Location

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful property that is very well equipped. However, we did have a some issues. No hot water in the mornings, swimming pool lights and hot tub stopped workingafter first day, and the pillows and bedding while clean smelled badly.

Thank you for staying with Kona Coast Vacations at the Kamilo House! We appreciate your feedback and want to address the issues that you commented about above. The Kamilo home and many Kona homes have solar hot water heaters. When we have cloudy days sometimes the amount of hot water is limited, that is why the property is also equipped with an electric back up system. To activate you flip a switch on a gray box located in the garage and within 15 minutes there is hot water. This information is provided in the guide book for the home. Unfortunately, the Swimming pool lights and hot tub were being affected by an electrical issue. That issue has been resolved. This is an example of a system that was not functioning properly during your stay and while we apologize for the inconvenience to you we do state in our rental policies that we are unable to guarantee that all systems will be functioning for the duration of your stay but we will do our best to remedy them. We apologize and regret that the linens had an odor, sometimes this happens due to high humidity levels causing an odor. We have addressed this with our cleaners to ensure the linens are dried completely. We thank you for having stayed with us and giving us the opportunity to service you. The owners of this property and Kona Coast Vacations are committed to providing quality vacation experiences.

Fantastic Home

We stayed for two weeks and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was amazing with beautiful views, an amazing pool and lanai, and great kitchen for cooking. The house is really close to shopping, but also in a beautiful, and quiet, neighborhood. We had an issue with the washer as well as some little fire ants (LFA), but the rental property management team was impressively responsive. Within hours, the washer was fixed and the hot tub area treated for ants.

Nothing Short of Amazing!

This house was our first Vrbo experience, and it may have ruined our expectations for any future rentals! We received a call letting us the house was ready for check in about an hour before scheduled check in, and when we arrived, the place was immaculate! The backyard and lanai was very well maintained, the the home very well equipped. There were labels on everything, so if there were any quirks with the appliances or air conditioning, we knew what to do from the labels, and we didn't have to contact the property management at all. As parents of a child on the spectrum, we really appreciated the lanai sliding door alarms that we could turn on at night. The view was amazing, and we enjoyed morning coffee on the lanai and beautiful sunsets. The pool and yard team were there the first day, and did a great job. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would do it again in a heartbeat!
