I do not usually complain. The property itself was nice and inside was clean. The basement bedroom and bathroom had hundreds of pill bugs, actually crawling through our luggage. The outside of the property needed attention. There were spider webs on the porches and outdoor furniture and it looked as if the outdoor area had not been cleaned. Contacting the property manager was difficult. I sent a message a month before our trip, which didn't get answered until 2 days after we arrived. VRBO was helpful in acquiring a phone number so I could contact the property manager and gain access to the portal and door code. Hopefully moving forward these issues will be remedied for the next renter.

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The property and surrounding views are beautiful. The house was very clean and the host was very responsive when I had a question or two to ask. I highly recommend staying here!

This home is just lovely and has a beautiful view. The layout is great and there is plenty of room for everyone. Josephine was very responsive and happy to help when needed.

We were unable to get to this property and did not stay. Property information on VRBO states “The property sits along a gravel mountain road. Front-wheel drive is sufficient most of the year. AWD or 4WD is required November through April due to gravel access roads and winter conditions.” The road was inaccessible in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer we used for the trip. After a winding road that was difficult to navigate we got to a point with a 45 degree turn and a steep grade down to the property. This was a safety issue and we could not get to the house. After talking with two people at the property management company their solution was for us to go back to Front Royal and use a cab service to go back and forth to the house. This was unacceptable. We ended up going to a hotel. We have stayed in several mountain homes in other areas and have never encountered this kind of accessibility issue. We asked for a refund but the Fidum Company’s property managers told us to contact VRBO. We went to a hotel for our stay. Be aware if you look at this property that access on these roads is very difficult and unsafe. You will receive no support from the management company. Note: Low ratings on all aspects because this site would not allow me to post a review without a rating on each. I do not know about cleanliness of the property because we never got there.

The interior of the home is beautifully decorated and well thought out. The views from the deck are gorgeous. I do feel a more accurate and upfront description should be given on the roads and drive to access the property. Even in the middle of the summer, I would not want to access this without an SUV, There were crews there 2 days of our visit grading and leveling the final steep hill. This did help improve the journey. Overall, a beautiful interior but challenging exterior

Place was stunning, views spectacular, beds ultra comfortable, clean, well stocked.. only caviar.. we arrived on motorcycles.. access and entering property is not motorcycle friendly.. cars, no problem, but as bikers, our skill and nerves were tested.. gravel and slopes.. but 5 stars.. great views
