This retreat is a treat! We had a hectic week in between homes, and it was very good to stay in a peaceful home close to everything and Bart. The hottub in the bamboo section was a bonus, and our little old dog had a quiet place to stay. Oh! A grinder for coffee beans is a plus.

Really like this little cottage in a very convenient location for us. It was clean. The beds are very comfortable and the garden outside area was beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arden, the host was extremely helpful when needed. The hot tub was a plus with everything working. It is an older home with some wear, but perfectly fine to rent. I would definitely stay there again.

I’ve been using VRBO for about 10 years and this has to be one of our worst experiences ever. The property was nowhere close what was showcased in pics. The house was smelly with no air conditioning and the backyard was dirty and unkept to even utilize. The bed was not even a queen one where a family of 3 could sleep comfortably and we had to sleep in the living room. It was gloomy, sad and had a negative vibe overall. I regret booking this one and due to this experience I’m scarred for life to look at vintage homes going forward. My kid and I have fallen sick and have been recovering over the last 2 days after returning home.

Rizwan, my property has an extra fee charge for the third person, Riawan asked me to refund her since she said her child is little, I refunded her $180. The property is listed as NO A/C, but Rizwan told me that she came from Texas and can’t survive without one. The A/C is the only reason she left this 1 star review. My property is just the same in my listing pictures, except a new couch. They left the room a disaster mess! Please never come back! You are the special one I met on VRBO.

Such an awesome stay! Arden was so sweet and left a kind note wishing me a happy birthday. The hot tub was a little hard to find at first but loved how secluded it was once we did find it, it was perfect!

Thanks Veronica! You’re right, the shared drive is not wide enough for trucks, and cars need to drive through the shared drive way to the actual parking area. If future truck guests don’t want street parking, this will be a problem.

The hot tub was great with the exception of the racoons trying to crawl over the fencing. Kitchen area was well stocked with the essentials, clean and functional. Our host was very helpful in all areas of our stay. Overall a comfortable weekend.

Check in was fast, everything but the floor was spotless, the beds were so so soft and perfect, I wish I had one myself. My only concern was that the listing said it was two bedrooms, which is a bit inaccurate. The twin bed is actually on the back porch so it isn't private or very safe with the back door right there, especially since some of that door in particular needs some handiwork or an extra lock. Overall this is a beautiful well-kept house in a beautiful neighborhood.

Great location, 10 min to Emeryville fishing landing. Also about 30 minutes to San Francisco. Overall everything worked well. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Recommend larger frying pan as the medium pan is badly scorched.

Property is nice and charming updated especially outside gazebo area. Jacuzzi is nice but cover is old peeling pieces fall into jacuzzi when taking cover on and off Quiet but limited parking - driveway too narrow so we didnt use it to park some street parking. Extra bed advertised as a double is only a twin and wasn’t made even though I paid extra guest fee. Only 1 blanket provided to make bed with. Few glasses and dishes only hardly enough. Couch very small not comfortable for adults to sit on Dark entrance needs a light hard to see/dangerous
