Not bad. Couple hiccups. Good location - siesta. Sarasota. Armonds etc. groc places and Rx QllClose. Really good location but ….We had no bathroom towels. Little to no tp on arrival Kitchen had antsIt listed a blow dryer - none Upon our stay the place got an eviction notice taped to front door for us lucky it was the day we were leaving. ! So not really sure we rented from the “owner” of the home , or the renter of the house ???? Parking easy.

Checking was ok, but we had few issues with our stay, the guest bathroom towels needed to be replaced, the sink has a horrible red stain, the toilet has a black stain and the shower handle is loose also water won’t come through the shower head instead if only flows through the faucet.The other issue is, we were told the internet password was under the modem but nothing was there, I texted about the issue and was told the same thing, so we didn’t have internet, the place needs a good update.

The check in process was great however the wifi never worked. I contacted the owner the night we arrived and three times the next day and only got 1 response stating he would have to contact the "internet operator". That never happened. On the second morning, I went to use the washer, which was a selling point for me to pick this place, and it didn't work. The shower in the master was as small as an RV shower and was dirty when I went to use it. There was no top sheet on the master bed, only a comforter which was too small for the bed. My son, 160 5'9, was in the second bedroom and slept on the twin bed. It was a wrought iron frame and moved every time he tried to readjust. When I went to wash the dishes I noticed there were dead bugs on the counter behind the coffee pot and what look liked hair on the counter behind the sink. I should have paid attention to the reviews because the most recent stated it was a duplex, which was NOT in the description. You never heard them but the only thing separating the houses was a door with a doorknob lock on their side. I left on the second morning as I never heard back from the owner. I contacted VRBO for support with the matter and they couldn't get intouch with them either. I've never had to leave early from a vrbo in all the years I've used them. It stop me in the future, but I hope this helps the next renter.

Overall it was fine, but it needs a deep clean, we had to make our own beds on arrival and there are security issues. I had to reach out to the host a couple hours before check in - who responded quickly and kindly - regarding how to access the house as no information was sent. You can tell it’s wiped down and quickly cleaned between guests, but a deep clean would be beneficial for the bathrooms, faucets, showers, tub, etc. We had to finish making all the beds as just a top sheet was laid on top of the bare mattresses. We had to find and clean fitted sheets, make the beds and we ended up using towels as blankets. The biggest concern, however, is the potential security issue. This is a duplex and there was a door that looked like it was an access point between the two units. It is only locked with a doorknob lock and only accessible through the other unit. So they could easily come in at any point while we had no way of locking our side. This was not mentioned in the listing and would have kept us from booking for sure. We’re not sure if this was just a locked closet or a door to the other unit, but it was unsettling. Otherwise, plenty of parking, quiet neighborhood, good location, nice size and plenty of kitchen space.
