Questa casa adatta alle famiglie dispone di 3 caminetti, con molta legna da ardere accatastati sulla proprietà, pronti per l'uso. La camera da letto principale si trova al 2 ° piano e ha il suo inserto per camino a pancia in vaso. Ha una doccia completa e cabina armadio. La seconda e la terza camera da letto sono al piano terra. Uno ha un letto matrimoniale e vista sull'oceano, l'altro ha 2 letti singoli. È disponibile anche un rotolo doppio. Il secondo bagno e il mezzo bagno aggiuntivo si trovano al piano terra. La nuova lavatrice e asciugatrice full size si trovano in un armadio nel corridoio al piano di sotto.

We had a wonderful stay. Kim and John are amazing hosts. The place was beautiful and clean with a beautiful view and Kims garden was very clearly a labor of love that adds a real charm to the property. The kitchen was well stocked for all the cooking we wanted to do. The layout of the home was very nice for multiple people. The pinball, air hockey, and darts were hits with the kids and we loved the pool table. Being walking distance to the beach and the Elk store are an added bonus. Last but not least, the fire pit was a great touch for relaxing in the evening.

Awesome stay

Great house and very family friendly. The kids loved the nearby beach and the town of Elk has some wonderful restaurants as well. We can’t wait to return!

The house is as described and in a beautiful setting. The garden was especially lovely, and the beach was within easy walking distance. The hosts were friendly and gave us some lemons and had a couple items waiting in the fridge, which was a very thoughtful gesture.There is one aspect of our stay that I think future guests should be aware of. Although the hosts live in San Jose, they were staying in a separate small house at the rear of the property throughout our stay, which was unexpected. Kim and John are very attentive, and interactive. They met us at the gate, gave us a tour when we arrived, and frequently came out when we were leaving or returning to the property to open the gate. The hosts clearly take great pride in their property, which shows in the well maintained garden and spotless interior, but more introverted guests who are not expecting to interact with hosts may feel that they have less privacy than expected when renting an entire home. Guests who enjoy attentive hosts will be in for a treat in addition to the spectacular setting. The property is lovely, and the garden, beach access and setting were wonderful.

A Stunning Slice of Paradise

The property is simply spectacular. It has a fully stocked kitchen, underrated views and a stunning garden. The hosts take it over the top with their neverending hospitality. It is more than we could have ever hoped for and we will DEFINITELY be back.

Beautiful view

This house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the beautiful views and nightly walks on the beach. The house was clean and had everything that we needed for a great stay. The homeowners were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay Kim and John!

Relaxing retreat with ocean views

We came to Elk for a wedding and had a fantastic weekend. This home is well maintained, immaculately clean, well stocked, and in a quiet and comfortable location. The owner’s pride of ownership is evident throughout the home and garden.

Absolutely gorgeous

The house and amenities were top-notch. The quiet community was a perfect backdrop for the views of the beautiful gardens, the ocean, and access to a beach off the beaten path. Kim was helpful and considerate and made an already enjoyable experience all the more so. 10/10, will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Mendocino Coast Getaway

The property was absolutely beautiful and the view was stunning! It was the perfect landing spot to head to after enjoying the beaches and the redwood forest. The kids loved playing air hockey! There were also a lot of board games to play. Kim was also a great host. She even called to check in on us the day we arrived. Overall it was perfect!

Perfect Holiday

Kim is a wonderful host which added to the perfect holiday experience in her beautiful house with stunning coastal views, a family sized terrace, large living room with extra high ceiling and a great games room. All of us including the 7 year old and the teenage kids had a brilliant time. I can only highly recommend this exceptional holiday home away from home. Thank you again!

Best house ever!

This was a beautiful house. Felt like home. So clean, all the amenities you could think of, all supplies needed and then some like fresh half and half for your coffee, butter, etc. Even fresh flowers from the garden. Best host ever! Hope to be able to return someday.

Perfect getaway!

We loved this house. It was spotless and very well appointed. The views from upstairs were spectacular. The beds were super comfy, firm, with nice bedding. Everything was just as advertised. Just a warning, there is spotty cell service, no internet or TV, but quite a few older movies and games to play. Be prepared to relax! Also can recommend Queenie's for breakfast, a few steps away.

We now have wifi service - just added in November 2014. We also added a Netflix account which is already set up for the 40" HDTV in the living room.

Family get away

We absolutely loved the property and the beach view. Access to the beach was easy and a fun walk. Love the Deli store nearby. Most of all we loved the botanical gardens that Kim does herself..so beautiful and the house was well equipped. The boys never got board with all the games. Actually we all enjoyed them. Thank you Kim and John.

A fabulous place

Kim and John offer the most outstanding vacation rental we have experienced in five years. The garden is magnificent as is the nearby beach. Kim stocks it with everything you could want and in excellent quality. They are in a little house in the back and readily available. It was our good fortune to book the weekend of Great Elk Day. Not to be missed. 😍

Beautiful ocean and garden views

Our stay, 4 women total, was amazing. The views from the second story (kitchen, dining, living room, and patio) of the ocean and the owner, Kim's, garden were gorgeous. The high ceilings upstairs opened the space even more. We had a great time playing pool and darts downstairs and wish we stayed longer to keep playing. We packed a small ice chest and were able to walk across the street to the walk down to the beach. Highly recommend to stay here!

Ocean Refreshment

Beautiful home and gardens. Kitchen was exceptionally stocked with everything you could need. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Upstairs balcony is so relaxing and what a view! Highway 1 is at the property's edge but the Pacific Ocean commands your view and, somehow, your hearing, you only hear the waves, it is wonderful. We all had an extremely relaxing stay, enjoyed the pool table, and would have enjoyed all the other game options but we were happy to just watch one of the many movie options that are offered after a day on the beach and BBQ at the house. Thank you so much - a wonderful time had by all!

A comfortable home with a beautiful view

What I liked most: Comfortable and family oriented. We felt like we could relax and just enjoy our time together. Location... Elk is a charming town with the necessities and a wonderful view of the Pacific. Clean... The house was spotless and stocked with movies, games and had every utencil and kitchen gadget you could ever want. The biggest challenge was the power outages. We had two nights without electricity in our 3 night stay. It was not a problem for us, but it could be for someone using a CPAP or other medical equipment. I'm guessing power outages are common in this area. The owners did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.

Thanks for your review - glad you enjoyed your stay. Apparently 1500 households were affected by the PGE maintenance power outage - its certainly most unusual to have 2 separate outages in one weekend, since most of the power lines in Elk are underground. Fortunately, the house has propane heating, a gas stove, and we always make sure there are candles and flashlights on hand in case of emergencies. We hope to see you again in Elk soon!

Great stay ! The house is wonderful, the views and garden are beautiful, it felt like home and the location of the house so close to the beach is perfect. Kim was very great to communicate with, everything was super smooth and we will definitely come back.

Peaceful weekend

We stayed for a long weekend and it was the first time in a very long time that I feel like I completely relaxed. I spent hours in the garden listening to the birds and watching butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Kim was a very attentive host. As a former florist, I was thrilled to find vases of cut flowers around the house. What a treat! We all voted to return in the near future.

Lovely stay with great hosts

I booked Kim's VRBO for some wedding guests in town for our wedding and it was a great experience! Kim was super communicative and helpful throughout, and her place was spacious, clean and well-appointed with a magical garden. Also very convenient and central location in Elk. Our guests enjoyed staying there!
