Questa casa, costruita nel 1910 come canonica originale per la Chiesa Presbiteriana Montreat è stata in una famiglia ormai da parecchi decenni. Grande casa di famiglia con 6 camere da letto e 2 bagni. Ci sono posti letto per 12 persone. La cucina, camere da letto ei bagni sono stati completamente rinnovati nel 2004. Godetevi il proiettati in veranda o salotto accogliente con ampio spazio per giochi da tavolo o di mettere insieme i puzzle. La connessione internet wireless e più televisori con TV via cavo disponibili. Aria condizionata centralizzata e calore fornito. Tutte le lenzuola e asciugamani inclusi e una cucina attrezzata con utensili. Vicino ai sentieri escursionistici grande, Lago di Susan e Robert Lake Park. campi da tennis nelle vicinanze, ampio cortile laterale per giocare. Godetevi il Biltmore House e Blue Ridge Parkway, così come il rafting sul Broad francese o Nantahala fiumi. Piste da sci solo 1 1/2 a 2 ore di distanza. Diversi ziplines nella zona pure. Posto meraviglioso per rilassarsi, riunione o avere il tempo della famiglia. Ottimo per un 'addio al nubilato' troppo!

House is close to all Montreat conference center activities and facilities. Plenty of parking. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch. Few houses in Montreat have sunny spots and a yard so this is a real find.

Great Family Retreat

This is a wonderful place for a large family/group to congregate. It has plenty of space and comes with niceties like games and puzzles and a grill. Very convenient to Montreat/Black Mountain attractions.

Wonderful visit

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 (4 children ages 1-9). We love Montreat and Black Mountain and this property was a short walk to the wonderful playground. We all loved this home so much, and it gave us plenty of space for our home base. We hope to return!

Nice older Montreat home. Great location. Nice porch. Comfortable and spacious. Clean and well cared for. Steep stairs probably not ideal for young kids or anyone with mobility or vision issues ( one of our group has vision challenges). So we will probably not stay there again but highly recommended.

Great location and property!

We stayed for a week in Montreat with 3 families. This was a fabulous house with upgrades and plenty of space for us to spread out. Very easy walk to drop kids off at clubs, do pottery or play pickleball. We would definitely return here! Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Perfect space for a large family gathering.

Perfect location to take advantage of beautiful Montreat trails and walkways. House was perfect size for our large extended family to gather and celebrate Christmas/new years. The classic home was nostalgic for us since we all grew up in a similar old house in Ohio. It was like coming home!

Perfect for our needs

This lovely Montreat home was perfect for our needs. The house was clean and well maintained. It was nice to have linens provided. We were attending a conference at Montreat and this location was within easy walking distance to everywhere we needed to go.

Great Home for week with friends

We were in Montreat for a watercolor workshop. This house was a perfect location, and it was great that everyone had their own bedroom. We cooked every night; the kitchen had everything we needed. The two refrigerators were especially nice. It’s a great home for a group!

Fantastic spot in the heart of Montreat

We loved our stay at this lovely house. We've stayed twice now, and both times were fantastic. Very close to Montreat Conference Center--we walked everyday to get to where we were going. The scenery is beautiful. You feel enveloped in the mountains without feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere. Also a very short drive into town (Black Mountain). I definitely recommend this house to other folks look for a solid group space!

This was the perfect space for our families to enjoy Montreat! The kitchen was well outfitted for making meals for the seven of us. The living room was a spacious and comfortable gathering space and several of us enjoyed completing the Bear puzzle over the course of the week. It's a challenge! It was a treat to have so many bedrooms and the A/C was much appreciated for the warm summer days.

Second home

This beautiful house is just right for our family. We walk to the park and Lake Susan. Go to my cousin's house on the paths for a visit. My granddaughter said " It was like walking into our 2nd house.

60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

The house was perfect for the grandparents, 3 kids, spouses and 3 grandkids. Well stocked kitchen ( a must for our family), large living room, great screened in porch, spectacular location just a couple of minutes walk from Lake Susan. It's an old funky added onto Montreat classic house with lots of character but everything works. Would highly recommend.

Large Family Home

We had 12 family members enjoying a traditional Labor Day mountain weekend. The rooms were large, especially the living room with plenty of space for our nightly board games. Loved the wonky floors and doors that come with a house that old. House was Just as described except there was no hot tub, which was listed under amenities. Location was perfect! Would definitely recommend for large family vacations that don’t need all the bells and whistles of “mountain mansions”. Owner was outstanding in responding to opening glitch.

Great retreat

Great house for a group of ladies. It is old an has an odd layout, but the rooms are spacious. The blinds in one room need repair; we didn’t use that room, so it was okay. Most of the mattresses were fine. One was pretty hard. The downstairs sitting area sofas are pretty bad, (if you are older getting up is a laughable challenge!) and rugs are heavily stained. It is a great location. We walked to Montreat Conference Center easily. The porch was great for gathering. Check in and out we’re a breeze.

Madeline, so sorry the house didnt seem to fit your needs. I apologiize for the stained carpet. The heavy use this summer did a number on the carpets. They are scheduled to be cleaned in the next few weeks. The house is over 100 years old, probably with an addition or 2, therefore the "odd" layout. Yes, the blind on the side window of the sleeping porch is being replaced. Thank you for the tidy way you left our home, it made cleaning a bit easier.

Wonderful Stay in Montreat!

A chuch group of 10 members stayed in this updated, spacious, and beautiful 1920s home. Over time, there have been several additions which resulted in some interesting characteristics to the home, yet the updates were performed in an extraordinary manner. The kitchen is large and well appointed with two refrigerators available. Great for a large group. Beyond the home itself, the greatest attributes were its location, ample parking (which is very unusual for Montreat), and the frequent and responsive communications with the owner. When we arrived, the home had a new disherwasher but it was not fully installed. The owned communicated this to us and effectivly coordinated its prompt installation. Being a home built in the 1920s, a person with mobility issues would have challenges. Some passages are not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, all entrances to the home have stairs, some doorways have unlevel entryways, all bedrooms are upstairs (with one of the two staircases being rather steep), and the bathooms did not have rails. Additionally, several of the bedrooms had limited storage for clothing. Unless one of these items is a show-stopper for you, I highly recommend this property. I certainly hope to stay here in the future!

Biltmore visit and early Thanksgiving

Very nice neighborhood with walking trails. The house was lovely and clean. Easy and surprisingly quick drive to the Biltmore estate and Asheville.

Excellent Overall would highly recommend!!

Claire was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The home is in a great location with hiking close by and many places to walk. Park is right across the street. We wish we had more time there to explore downtown Montreat

Enjoy the screened in porch or the cozy living room with ample room for playing board games or putting puzzles together. Wireless internet access and multiple televisions with cable tv available. Central air conditioning and heat provided. Close to great hiking trails, Lake Susan and Robert Lake Park. There are tennis courts close by and a large side yard for playing games. With Asheville only 17 miles away, enjoy shopping and the Biltmore House. Drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway or raft on the French Broad or Nantahala Rivers Ample ski slopes only a short drive away. There are several ziplines in the area as well.
