Jessica was a great host. Everything in the house was clean, organized, and the backyard provided excellent views of the Sound. As a one night stopover between destinations, this was a relaxing place to stay that helped recharge us for the next day.

This home is beautiful and the host is just as amazing! Gorgeous views, and sunsets from the swing that overlooks the water. We got to watch dolphins from a few feet away. It was quiet and the water is swim-able making for the perfect weekend. The host was great at communicating check-in and check out procedures making this stay extremely easy. My only suggestion would be a better water ladder to climb in and off the dock and some more pictures of the outside of the property, I was pleasantly surprised by the picnic table and the covered area with beautiful lighting.

Overall, this property was excellent and makes for a nice, quiet retreat from busy life. It’s an extremely cozy, well decorated, 3-bedroom cabin setting right next to the water. The views are wonderful and the ability to relax next to the water on the home’s personal dock is flat out amazing. My only criticisms are 1) that there are a lot of bugs outside, and while this is normal in that area, the place could use a bug zapper or some other control mechanism. 2) This is definitely an out-of-the-way location, so it would behoove you to utilize the well stocked kitchen by bringing food items to cook while there. The few local restaurants operate when they feel the need and often close early.Like I said though, it was a great experience and I highly recommend the place!

Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again.

House was lovely and clean. It was hot outside and the AC made it nice and cool. Shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. We watched the sunset on the swing in the backyard. It was secluded and quiet. Definitely a respite from the hustle and bustle of life.
