Had a great stay at Dan's place. My dad and I stayed there while working on dads home in Venice. This home was super clean, easy access and Dan was very quick to respond when I had a question. His home is so close to anything we needed or wanted to do as well. I highly recommend this home.

Very clean and peaceful home located in a good part of town with everything around you. A tv in the bedroom would’ve been the only thing to make it better. Other than that , nice rental.

House was spacious, clean and exactly as described. Everything worked well and was maintained. Providing the tools to hunt for shark teeth was definitely a plus. We enjoyed our stay very much.

perfect for what we needed!

The house is very clean! It was in a great location for us, pretty much central to the beaches we were visiting (Caspersen and Brohard), even downtown Venice is close by. The backyard was huge which our pup loved to run around in. I honestly think he had a better vacay than me! Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

You will not be disappointed

This place is everything in the description, It's clean,well stocked with everything you will need. The house and furnishing seem to new and well taken care of,and also the beach chairs and tent are not wore out like other places We have stayed. The beach ferry is a short drive away and we pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.

Clean, Spacious, and Convenient

My family of 6 adults (plus a newborn) had a great time staying at this home when we visited Florida. It has two sitting areas and a master suite with its own bathroom that was perfect for me, my husband, and newborn to sleep in. The house is also just a short drive to beaches and downtown Venice. And the owners were helpful and considerate and easy to work with. I will definitely stay here again during future visits.

Perfect Easy Getaway

We loved the layout of this property. While the front bedroom is very loud at night, as it is adjacent to the road, aside from the noise, the back yard has lovely privacy. The house location made beach trips convenient. Although I initially overlooked the beach towels that were in the garage, the owner was quickly responsive in dropping off replacements.

The Villa Grande Was Exceptional

This house was spotless and tastefully decorated! The listing was accurate regarding location and amenities provided. The owners went out of their way to help us at the very last minute as we needed a place to stay ASAP after my father-in-law passed away. Their kindness was so very appreciated during this difficult time. We will certainly stay here again, and would recommend it to family and friends!

What's not to like

What a great place to stay while you visit and enjoy one of the hottest cities in Florida. Thank you Ruth for making us so comfortable in your home. Spacious and clean are two words that first come to mind. While there were only two of us, it's easy to see how perfect it is for families with children as well as pets. We really enjoyed our time in Venice. Look forward to next time

Traveling with two small dogs

The home was beautiful and very clean! There was a very warm welcoming basket and a notebook filled with very helpful information. We loved the fenced in back yard for our two small dogs. The ferry passes were great and all of the beach items were very useful. Also, they accommodated a very late request to book the home. Outstanding customer service! We plan to return as soon as possible.

Quaint house near the beach

The house is in a quiet little neighborhood that is ideal if your going to relax. Only minutes from the beach and we spent most our time at Manasota Beach where we found hundreds of sharks teeth. The house itself was very clean and minimal things needed to be done on our departure, which made it nice and easy for us. The free wifi and cable tv were a plus for days we just wanted to hang around the house as well as the grill outside for some burgers and hot dogs. The owners were pleasent and made sure if we had any questions they were answered in a timely manner. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone.

Awesome firsts with our pet

Our rental was the best part of this vacation! House was clean well stocked and right in the middle of everything (within a 5-10 min drive) First time we brought our dog with us and this house was literally perfect to accommodate. Owner had information on everything for both us and our pet. Found one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in and that was from literature in home. Unfortunately red tide was in and hurricane pushed us out early but that had nothing to do with this great property. Would come again - house set up perfect for more than one couple - lots of privacy,

Perfect!

We rented Ruth's house for 9 nights as an intern place to stay as we waited to close on our home during a cross-country move from Wisconsin to Florida. Not only was the house clean and welcoming it also was the perfect place for our dogs. We loved (and miss) the large, fenced backyard. Ruth was great about communicating and quick to assist when we needed to add days to our rental after already checking in. She was wonderful about responding to emails and quickly answered all questions we had. The house has a garage which was a lifesaver for us and the proximity to several gulf coast beaches was great. We loved exploring the local parks and beaches as well as being able to walk our dogs through the neighborhood each morning. This home was close to several groceries as well as shopping and recreation. I highly recommend Ruth's house and would stay again.

A Grande Stay

From the outside, the house feels "Old South Florida", which is fitting for the area, but the inside is very modern, updated and clean. This house is very spacious for a 2 bedroom home. The living room opens to the dining rooom, which flows to a nice sitting area. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house but they don't feel that distant. With some rentals, you're lucky to get a small skillet and a plate or dish. There was a full array of skillets, pan, baking dishes/pans, a full set of plates, dishes, glasses, and silverware. There were even storage containers and a small variety of spices and seasonings. We also had robes for each of us, as well as a variety of toiletries. Ruth was very accommodating. We arrived nearly a full day before we were scheduled to check-in, so we contacted her (on a Sunday evening by email) to see if we could get in the house early. She responded quickly and made arrangements for us to check-in early. We will not hesitate to attempt to book this place when we need accommodations in the area again.

Very clean house. Nicely layed out. Confortable furnitue and beds, nice bathrooms, loved having a garage and garage door opener, AC worked great. I would probably rent again. For the potential renter a few heads up items. Some of the stuff mentioned as available in the desription were not there and we had to go to the grovery store for a bunch of stuff. No stocked spices (salt and pepper only), no coffee (there was one single Keurig pod), sugar was a single small restaurant sized sugar pack, There was also none of the mentioned sample sized toothpaste, mouthwash etc, we had to buy that at store as well. If you use the bikes, the older tan bike needs attention, right hand brake doesnt work - my wife discovered that the hard way. Nor does the shifter grips on that bike. There was a shark tooth rake and floating sifter, but the metal mesh was coming out of rake. I had to rig it with some zip tyes I had to buy. Not sure how long that will last. Beach equipment average but everything most people might need. I would probably rent again knowing I will be going to the store for stuff I expected to be there according to description.

Great location, great house!

We just returned from our stay in Venice and we miss it already! This house is in the perfect location, close to shopping and beaches. Dan and Ruth made check in and check out seamless and were readily available for any questions we had. We will definitely rent from them in the future.

Family vacation

Overall, a great stay. Our family of 5 had plenty of space for our 5 day stay. We appreciated the extra blankets & pillows, and all of the beach towels and toys provided for our beach days. Check in and check out was very smooth and organized which was much appreciated!

We had a great visit!

The property was exceptionally clean, the check in was very easy. The owners, Dan and Ruth were immediately available to answer any questions. The owners have done an excellent job providing information about the area, things to do. We had all of the beach supplies that we needed, umbrella, chairs, beach towels, etc, etc. They have thought of everything! The home is full of natural light, very comfortable beds, nice towels, high end bed linens and very, very clean. The fenced back yard is big and was perfect for our small dog to run and chase lizards. I appreciate all of the owners attention to detail, we had a great time at Villa Grande!
