This custom log cabin is perched atop more than 65 private acres of rolling, open land, offering panoramic westerly mountain vistas from nearly every window and outdoor space. No matter where you are—lounging in the great room, sipping coffee in the sunroom, or stepping onto the balcony—you’re greeted by sweeping, ever-changing views of the Green Mountains and the surrounding countryside. The landscape is truly the star here, with every room and gathering spot thoughtfully designed to bring the outdoors in.
Set on 65 private acres, Spruce Moose Lodge offers guests exclusive access to a vast expanse of rolling meadows, woodlands, and scenic trails. The property’s generous acreage ensures complete privacy and plenty of space to roam, explore, and immerse yourself in Vermont’s natural beauty, all from the comfort of your own retreat.
Although Spruce Moose Lodge feels like a secluded mountain retreat, you’re only a quick 15-minute drive from the charming village of Woodstock. This quintessential Vermont town offers boutique shopping, farm-to-table dining, and a vibrant arts scene, making it easy to enjoy the best of both worlds—peaceful privacy at the lodge and all the attractions of Woodstock just moments away.
Step inside to a grand great room where vaulted log-beamed ceilings and a dramatic stone fireplace set the stage for floor-to-ceiling cathedral windows that perfectly frame the mountains beyond. Whether you’re curled up by the fire or hosting friends, the views are always front and center. The heart of the home is a massive, custom kitchen, beautifully appointed with all stainless steel appliances, expansive counters for meal prep or gathering, and a large gas stovetop that makes cooking for a crowd a joy. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the formal dining area and great room, while French doors open to an expansive upper balcony—where two seating and dining areas provide the perfect perch for sunset dinners or morning coffee overlooking the valleys and peaks.
The sunroom, wrapped in glass, offers a light-filled retreat with plush seating and uninterrupted vistas in every direction. Step out onto the deck, where a large private hot tub invites you to soak while gazing out across rolling fields and distant ridgelines. Just off the deck, a beautifully designed stone firepit patio is surrounded by classic Adirondack chairs—an ideal setting for stargazing, storytelling, or simply soaking in the peaceful Vermont landscape.
For those needing to stay connected, the lodge is equipped with gigabit fiber internet, providing lightning-fast, reliable connectivity throughout the home. Whether you’re working remotely, attending virtual meetings, or streaming your favorite shows, you’ll have all the speed and bandwidth you need to stay productive and entertained in this tranquil Vermont setting.
Upstairs, guests will find not only a cozy sitting room with panoramic windows but also an additional sitting area, providing multiple spaces to unwind, read, or simply take in the mountain views. For those who need to stay connected or work remotely, the lodge offers two dedicated work-from-home spaces—one complete with a desk, comfortable chair, and two monitors for productivity with a view, and a second workspace thoughtfully set up in one of the queen bedrooms, providing a private and quiet spot to focus while still enjoying the inspiring Vermont setting. The third floor features a spacious ensuite bedroom, ensuring privacy and comfort with stunning vistas to greet you each morning. The second, third, and fourth bedrooms all offer queen beds, with the fourth bedroom serving as a second ensuite for added privacy and convenience. Above the third queen room, a cozy loft provides two additional twin beds, making it a perfect hideaway for kids or extra guests. A full hall bath continues the theme of natural light and scenic beauty. On the main floor, the primary king suite boasts a dramatic four-poster bed and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a stone waterfall walk-in shower, plus direct access to the upper balcony—so you can step outside and greet the sunrise or savor the fresh mountain air at any time.
The lower level includes laundry facilities and the home's radiant heated floors are featured on all three levels for year-round comfort. Outside, the grounds invite you to explore miles of private trails, each offering new vantage points and photo-worthy perspectives of Vermont’s rolling hills and open sky. Whether you’re hiking, snowmobiling, or simply strolling the property, you’ll find that the views are never the same twice—every hour brings a new light, a new color, a new sense of wonder.
For indoor fun, the garage features a Ping-Pong table, and inside, a dedicated game room awaits with an electronic dual basketball game, board games, and a PlayStation 4—ensuring entertainment for all ages, rain or shine.
Spruce Moose Lodge is the ultimate Vermont escape—a custom log cabin where the views are always center stage, the kitchen is ready for gatherings, and every moment is framed by the beauty of nature.
